I got reported a few hours ago. I don't know what I did wrong. Should I worry?

I wanted to spend time with other players so I decided to do a PvP match. I was also curious about the new Drafting system. It took awhile as usual, but I got into a match. I was assigned support and the person I was with got VERY angry at me...it an unusual circumstance too. I tried my best to stay with the player as much as I could but it came to the point where he or she started saying weird internet slang. One of the other players on the team then took it upon him or herself to report me once we surrendered.

It's my first time getting reported like this, and I have no idea what just happened. Is this normal for all of you? I've heard stories about these kinds of people and I was even the witness of an argument between two players who focused more on the chatbox than they did pushing the other team back. And should I worry? I want to play this game more seriously and I'm trying to move beyond intermediate PvM matches. It also seems as if trial-and-error is discouraged when mastering a champion, and I'm still in a state of limbo, having yet to decide on a main champion.

In any case, I feel compelled to stay away from the game again, but I don't want to. I also want to know if anything has changed with the community's behavior because I found this thread from back in 2013, but I'm not sure what to think of it: http://forums.eune.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=547731&page=2

If you did nothing wrong, here's what you have to do to get your name cleared of a false report. Get a note pad , because this going to be a wall of text/TL;DR. Ready?:

You have to do absolutely nothing. False reports are thrown out against you. Even with the Tribunal being gone/shut down for rework, and the automated system being put in place, false reports still won't do anything.

You'll be fine. Riot operates on a Frequency times Intensity system. You either have to be very toxic or routinely toxic (or some combination of the two) to catch a review.

You're fine. As long as you did not flame or legitimately troll, it's just water off a duck's back. I've been reported countless times by salty players and have yet to even receive a chat restriction because there was never anything about my behavior to report in the first place.

Those people who reported you are typical newbs who think they're good because they watched Doublelift once. Play whatever the heck you want in normals as long as it's not a troll pick. (I used to play Katarina as a jungler in normals because I didn't have any jungle champs at the time. It wasn't the best, but I could make it work with a little creativity and cheese.) What happens in normals barely matters. It's all about you learning to play the game and improving on that. I've played Lux and Garen "ADC" in norms and made enemies surrender at 20.

The fact of League is that you will encounter more positive than negative, but the negative can be so bad sometimes that you may feel like it overshadows all the friendly players and the good times you have. Always keep a good attitude and play for fun. And mute/report the people who really deserve it. I guarantee you will enjoy League for a long, long time if you keep that mindset.

Also, people like you are the reason I play beginner bots games from time to time. It may not be as fun to play bots games for me, but you'll meet fresh and untainted people in those games who give you a better outlook on League and life. [slayer-jinx-catface]

League community is well known for being toxic. My suggestion is don't play PVP at low level unless it's with friends, because there are massive amount of losers who are smurfing. They are either banned or beaten up so often that they have to abuse new players to satisfy themselves.

You seem like a really nice person. Would you like to play some games with me? :) I'm a support main and would love to help you decide on a main and all that. If you're interested, add me. My username is Driv0n (that's a zero in the middle). GLHF!

No. If you did nothing wrong, or even if you did, you'll be fine.
