I got Banned and this is my opinion on the system
Today I got permanently banned from the game and I fell really bad about myself. I absolutely believe that I deserved the ban I got and it was totally deserved as completely violated the "summons's code". I got banned because I flamed my teammates and I flamed them a lot,I was quite surprised at the fact that I wasn't banned earlier. I mean the amount of flaming I did when I was tilted was insane. When riot gave me restrictions I laughed. Not because I did not care about the restriction, it was because there's no way someone would not find what I wrote as bannable material.Normally there's no way I would actually post something about me getting banned in a game,or get upset/sad about it.But I am very sad and very upset because of the 700 euro /$650 that were completely lost in the process. Hats a lot of money especially at my age. Anyway since I got banned I thought,I would share my opinion about the system.
I don't know whether it varies from server to server but at least in Nordic and East you have to do a lot actually get banned. Thinking about it,it would honestly make sense if the punishment was not as strict here because literally everyone flames when there tilted or losing. Its very often that you see three or more people in one team that are flaming each other after the games goes downhill. One thing that is noticeable is that absolutely no one that I have seen or know that plays this game flames when there not tilted. I never flamed anyone if I didn't feed lane that game or feed last game and generally was on tilt. This is an issue that comes with players but also can be seen as a problem by the game. If a lot of people like me want just flame there opponents and go afk after they start losing in the game, it can also be seen as the game being anti-fun to the losing team. Another thing that I noticed about the system was that the use of capital letters made the reviewers much more motivated to restrict or ban someone. What I mean by this is that the games that I flamed and got restrictions in,most of them I had purely used caps and a lot of other games where I flamed without them in the exact same way nothing happened. Also in most of these games I got restrictions and bans I spammed a lot of flame, usually I would never go on a massive tantrum if I was just tilted. I would go on one when someone "flamed" me or called me bad or just said "kill yourself" or something. This in combination with the tilt was why I at least flame like crazy. Everything in this previous paragraph is not to justify my flaming towards my teammates but to show the reasons why I started swearing and flaming.
There are somethings that I want to say about the restrictions and bans. First of all I think if you are like me where you flame and get banned for 2 weeks, there should be a warning by riot that if your flame continues you will be perma banned. Personally I thought that if I started tilting and flaming again and got a banned would be for like 1-6 months, not perma. Now one thing that I think could have been a 'replacement' for my perma ban was a perma chat ban. I don't really know why riot doesn't do this and just stop people who flame from just talking or restrict them like the 5 max message restriction. I think that works very well as when I got it,I found that you are able to communicate well most of the time and it really stops you from flaming as most of the times you will have about 3 messages which is not enough to flame anything. Usually when I was tilted and ready to flame with this restriction I was hesitant to use my messages so I didn't say anything. I think this would help a lot of players rather than any amount of game restriction. I feel like restricting players to play the actual game makes them much angrier and leads them to be even more toxic and tilt easier in games. If they don't have game chat or be able to talk freely it won't affect them that much and they wouldn't care to much. This links in with my next point which is that the reason players flame is that they get tilted and the reason why they get tilted is partially because of bad plays from there teammates but mostly because of bad plays they themselves have maid. From experience I would very rarely flame because of my teammates bad plays but because of mine even though I would blame them. Another thing about people who flame and are toxic is that they are usually very competitive and want to always win which is another reason why I believe the chat restriction is much better that a game ban since it will stop the guy who wants to flame and he will just play normally since he is usually very competitive. I absolutely understand why I should have been banned by riot since a flamed a shit ton but on the other hand I do believe a permanent chat suspension would at the same time stop me from flaming my teammates and make me play a normal game of league of legends.
Anyway I don't really use the forums that much so I don't know if anyone sees stuff random people post. But if you do happen to see this, comment on it any question you have about anything I have said. If some people do see it I will probably write a part 2 about voice chat and how I I think it would help the community in general be less toxic, the restriction of rewards and more.
