Riot what can a player do when in ranked queue and people pick dumb things? I'm trying to do my provisional games but people are picking fiddlesticks for adc and like cho'gath for adc. I've tried just banning the champ they're gonna pick but then they get pissed and say they're gonna feed and just pick another dumb character for the wrong position. In the end I have to dodge and get punished for avoiding games that will negatively affect me.

ANYONE WHO PICKS OFF META KNOWS THEY ARE SIGNIFICANTLY RISKING THEIR CHANCES OF TILTING THEIR TEAM BEFORE THE GAME EVEN STARTS. I am not saying off meta picks aren't allowed, but if you pick one in ranked you have to be aware of the consequences; whether you like it or not a majority of the community will get annoyed and tilt, significantly increasing your chances of getting a loss. Which basically defeats the purpose of playing ranked.
I like playing Bard APC with my friend Using Alistar or Blitz support. I would only do this in Normals because I know my team in ranked would get frustrated and tilt.
I think the community as a whole needs to make an effort to pick the proper game mode for the mood they are in that day. It is not necessary to play Ranked EVERY game.

I have a tendency to disagree with you. The reason being, picking something off meta can often give you an advantage because others don't know how to play against it. I watched a lot of Heisendong and he would constantly play off meta picks (Heimer APC or LB support) and often he won the lane because the enemy didn't know how to deal with it.
I had someone play Syndra jungle recently, my entire team was fine with it and it threw the enemy team off enough where the mid laner quit.
If your team is bitching at you because of your choice of off meta champion, that's their own problem and they need to grow up.
Tocosrevenge1 votesI completely agree with you, I think off-Meta champs are completely viable and usually throw off the other team enough to end with a win. BUT. I think its irresponsible to pick off-Meta (in ranked) because unfortunately the community tilts easy. Yes that is their own problem and they need to grow up. Unfortunately though that is not going to happen, and it lands on you to decide if picking off Meta is worth the risk of tilting your team or not.

ChaosReignsDown1 votesCriddlesticks making a comeback. Really though, just go supp top/mid .. or help the jg take control of the whole jg while sweeping and getting that deep vision. If you are not support, try to roam bot and help out, the other team will prob over extend due to the weak adc pick making them easy to gank.
Last night I had a First time jhin player who was not following up on my stuns/ damage and we fed two kills bot, really early. So I left bot and went and fed my Quinn top 5 kills agaisnt Tryndemere...then we snowballed mid and bot and won in 19mins.. the whole time my time was calling me the worst support ever... Point is dont worry about trolls or rude ppl..play to the best of your ability and look for who can snowball for your team. Have fun!
