Riot what can a player do when in ranked queue and people pick dumb things? I'm trying to do my provisional games but people are picking fiddlesticks for adc and like cho'gath for adc. I've tried just banning the champ they're gonna pick but then they get pissed and say they're gonna feed and just pick another dumb character for the wrong position. In the end I have to dodge and get punished for avoiding games that will negatively affect me.

You deal with it. Deviating from your beloved meta isn't punishable. People play to have fun, and not everyone is a sheep to what Rito told them.
Well its most likely pick intent which is not the actual champion selection, i do it all the time by picking someone i wont pick and people get realllll pissy and question me. like i seen people waste bans on dumb stuff over 1 person .. in normals i dont care but in ranked i still think people be joking like i do but thats just me

Criddlesticks making a comeback. Really though, just go supp top/mid .. or help the jg take control of the whole jg while sweeping and getting that deep vision. If you are not support, try to roam bot and help out, the other team will prob over extend due to the weak adc pick making them easy to gank.
Last night I had a First time jhin player who was not following up on my stuns/ damage and we fed two kills bot, really early. So I left bot and went and fed my Quinn top 5 kills agaisnt Tryndemere...then we snowballed mid and bot and won in 19mins.. the whole time my time was calling me the worst support ever... Point is dont worry about trolls or rude ppl..play to the best of your ability and look for who can snowball for your team. Have fun!
in low elo literally anything can win, so don't let unconventional picks worry you, just play the game.
