My old Account or Username?

So I will admit that I made a backup account ages ago for when I was restricted from joining the match making queue back when I started in season 3(?), idk Jinx was just released when I started the game but I'd bail on games where people picked roles and were douchebags about it and insta locking or fucking shit up. Eventually I got toxic over time with being a salty and overall poor sport and sore loser (its a problem I know), and I'd start getting chat restrictions which I tried to dodge at first playing on my unbanned alternate account.

Eventually, my main account was finally permanently banned after a few chat restrictions and me still being a pissy person in chat with cussing people out and swearing and such a lot. I didn't accept criticism very well and was instantly ticked off at my first death should it ever happen before the 10 minute mark or before I had my own first kill of the game.

Effectively I was banned and my alt was/is on a chat restriction from back in the day and I haven't played a game of League in forever. I'd been playing Smite in the meantime but its annoying to play comparatively speaking and I kinda miss the simpler controls and the general playstyle of LoL as a game and I'm trying to get back into the game now with intended better behavior (I have not been given any sort of punishments on Smite for behavior or toxicity this past year that I've played it)

My question is the issue regarding my old account or at least the name. I am pretty sure that getting my account unbanned for 'good behavior' on my alt is...unlikely....but is it possible to at least get me back my old username if I buy the name change item in the account shop even if it hasn't been the 2.5 years normally required for a level 30 inactive account to lose it's name?

Is there any hope for me here or am I just SoL on the whole thing for being a salty prick...?
