Unfairly Banned

Before I begin. Yes I know Riot doesn't unban accounts.

But this is so stupid. I just got off a 14 day ban for being toxic, so since then I've been non-toxic. Then one game I called my team bronze so they all reported me, so that in turn resulted in a ban.

I don't get it, how many accounts do I have to make just to enjoy this game without 12 year olds reporting you cause you called them bronze.

I understand that I was toxic and I learned my lesson (i.e: this is my second account getting permed) But like is it really that hard for riot to see that I wasn't actually being unsportmanlike?

Makes me so angry, that they don't reverse bans. I can't even type a proper thread but yeah you get the gist.

Sorry I gave you money Riot. Honestly, you repay me, someone who over the last 7 years has spend $1000's of dollars on this game by having a auto report system that doesn't know the difference between someone saying certain things and being out right toxic.

Sigh. I'm probably never gonna play this great game again cause of this.

But I guess Riot will just post all the toxic logs without showing the good side to me as a player and person.

You said you were toxic, then you claim you weren't toxic.

Bottom line is you admit that after your 14 day ban you returned to insulting other players and toxicity, this resulted in a permanent ban. I fail to see how this is unfair.

Where did I claim to insult people? Calling someone bronze is not an insult, just cause they're sensitive about being bronze rank doesn't make it toxic. I said that I got banned cause I was being toxic, then I reformed like I was told to do.

Riot defines any kind of harassment as toxicity. Calling someone bronze is a reportable insult (in the verbal abuse category), but it's a kind that accumulates over time. This means either a) you said something worse and are sugarcoating it, or b) you have repeated this behavior, and the number of reports you received have accumulated to the point that Riot's system decided to ban you. You can post the chat logs for more clarity.

Yeah I know how the system works, this is just unfair given the circumstances (Getting reported even once gets you a perm ban). I remember there used to be 28 day bans, what happened to them?

Exactly, "Riot's system decided to ban you". That is the part that's unfair, why can't a human review it before issuing a perma, if it's your last chance? I know if I was a Riot employee and I saw what I posted above, the most I'd do is maybe another 25 match mute, or hell even another 14 day ban, not a perma though. Chat logs been posted above.

Riot doesn't have the personnel to review every single report, and their policy is justified. If they let exceptions happen to the rules, ambiguity will allow people to adopt a half-toxic attitude that is considered "okay" by the community. Riot's system is justified.

Thanks for your input, but doesn't worry me cause I'm not 14 or anywhere near that age. I've played since season 2, so again thanks for your input. I see what you did, but it's not affective on someone that doesn't get offended by the fact that you called me my rank.

The way system works, if after 14 days ban you flame in just 1 match and get reported for that, it's a permaban.

Reason is that if you have been banned for 14 days you had enough warnings, so if you act toxic just once, you get banned.

And yes, calling someone bronze is offensive.

I disagree, calling someone their rank cause they play like that rank is not offensive.

Example: I'm good at a sport and you come up against me, now if i called you a noob or something cause maybe it's your first time trying said sport or maybe you're having a bad day, doesn't make it offensive.

Calling someone bronze is almost never not an insult. I firmly believe that you haven't posted your chat logs because they would make clear you were using that as an insult, among other things.

You tell people to uninstall, constantly blame them and tell them how bad they are, all while acting like you're the top player in Challenger and as if everyone else is shit.

Yeah and how is that harrassment? If I was abusing my team calling them you know abusive names and what not, then yeah. but telling someone to uninstall is relatively harmless.

You played the "how close to the line can I get" game and lost. Hint - in the future, when you're given rules, don't try to find loopholes.

I've been called all that before, happens quite regularly to be honest. But that doesn't class as harassment or berating? Uninstall is an insult too? Oh my gosh, this game and this community.

I mean to me if you are telling someone to uninstall you think they are literally so bad that they shouldn't even bother playing. Plus I mean how would you feel if you were playing a sport/ game or whatever and your team constantly called you bad, that you suck ect the whole time. You can't really expect them to play better when you are literally bringing them down the whole time you make it so they don't even want to play anymore.

Everyone is different I mean idc what some stranger says who I don't know they don't matter to me why should I care what they are saying. But thats not the point the point is you gotta think of every possible way what you saying might affect someone, Some won't care, Others will think it's funny and others will feel like shit. Plus you never know whats going on in peoples lives maybe they been having a terrible day, suffer from depression or something never know but they are like "finally home lets relax and play league" then they have a bad game and someone ends up acting like you all game and they think to themselves what's the point, sure maybe you just called them bad at a game and some other things but that could lead them to thinking they are worthless all together and what not espcially if they already weren't having the best of time irl.

Well, community and Riot won't change for you. And that punishment was given to you, because Riot wants you to change.

It doesn't matter what you think is harassment and what Is not. Riot has rules, you follow them or they ban you, simple as that.

We simply explained to you what rules you broke, arguing with us won't change anything.

I like Riot, there's nothing wrong with their business model or pricing. What I don't like is how I've spent money since Season 2 and then end up getting banned. Not once, but twice now.

Me as an individual won't make Riot fear anything, I just want to be justified for spending money on something I enjoy playing in my free time, as do you probably (Hopefully).

Normally yes, but in this case I don't believe I've actually committed "Unsportsman like conduct". Because a system decided based on 4-9 people reporting me all at once that I should be banned.

Bear in mind that I even removed borderline sentences that I still wouldn't want in my games. So in reality there's more.

Also, silver 2 is silver 2, not gold 5. That's one of the lines I removed from the logs. Boasting about your impressive silver 2 level is not making you look any better.

The fact you think you’ve reformed but can’t see what’s wrong with your chat logs is a joke. The ban was completely fair, Riot doesn’t want you in the community, crying here won’t change anything.

Handy hint: don’t say anything negative towards your teammates. Not only will it lead to bans, but it doesn’t actually help you win.
