Please do not use this time to dip into ranked to troll or meme or just to have fun if you are going to feed your ass out playing a champion you know you suck at. Looking at all you asian fuccboi mains out there 
Chermorg2 votesWell, yes. However I think it's important to note that the game will factor the end of last season into the ranking even if you've climbed a lot or fallen a lot. If you ended last season in plat, you probably won't start next season in Bronze unless you fell like a giant rock.

OnlyYouCanHearMe1 votesThere's also no reason for you to be pointing out to the rest of the team what someone's win rate and kda is. All you will accomplish is 1. pissing off the player that you called out, which is likely to tilt them and 2. pissing off the rest of your team AT the player you called out, which is likely to tilt the rest of the team. Both of which combine to leave you with a tilted team in a match that is now much harder to win. If you had just kept the information to yourself, then only you would have been pissed/tilted by the knowledge. And a team with 1 tilted player is much better off than a team with 4-5 tilted players.
Shit like this is so pointless, and it does YOU so much more harm than it helps. All it does is psych yourself out. Do you know how many times I've encountered someone who flipped their shit because they looked at me as nothing more than a lowly trash Silver support? They never stopped to think that maybe I got matched with them because my mmr was good, or that I might have a good winrate/kda on the champ I main. All they look at is one piece of the puzzle, and they let it tilt them, when if they would just chill out and play, we could win the match.

OnlyYouCanHearMe1 votesVery easily. I just don't type anything. More to the point, I don't look it up before the match. I go into every match exactly the same way. I'm playing it to win, regardless of how my team does. It does not matter to me what the win rates of my teammates are, nor does it matter to me what the win rates of my opponents are.
I'm not going to play any differently against a 20% win rate opponent than I would an 80% win rate opponent. Nor am I going to play any differently with a 20% win rate teammate than I would with an 80% win rate teammate. In none of those situations is it considered wise to slack off; not if you think you've got a stellar teammate who is sure to carry you, not if you've got an unskilled opponent that you should be able to walk all over. What if your teammate was boosted to that win rate? What if your opponent decides to suddenly get boosted? If you aren't playing at your best, and you slack off, you could easily throw the match if you change your tactics based on what the numbers imply. But if you go into the match, and play it exactly the same as you always do, then at least you will be prepared to react to any changes that happen in the match in real time.
If I go into a match and I have a guy who is doing poorly, it's not my job to point out his shitty win rate. It's my job to try and carry the match in spite of his shitty win rate. Pointing it out just makes my job that much harder.

OnlyYouCanHearMe1 votesNothing to apologize for! And hey, if the guy asks "who should I play?" then that's a perfect time to tell him any other champion. But even then, there's no real reason to bring the numbers into things. You can also ask the person if they would consider playing another champ. You can give them any kind of bogus excuse you want: we need some AP, we need a ranged ad, we don't really have a good comp to set up for yasuo, etc. It doesn't have to be the true reason (that they just happen to do very badly at the champion they've picked), as long as it's a viable reason for the match, and you are polite about asking.
You can't force the player to not play their bad champions, but you can always offer them up better alternatives and see if they take the bait. Hell, you can tell them "Damn dude, I see that you've got a 78% win rate on Talon. I'd love to see that in action." if they have a champion that they are really good at. Maybe they will play that champion instead to show-off a bit.

rtbf906614561 votesNothing. you didn't gain or lose MMR since you last played ranked, so you'll be placed with your fellow tier/division mates come season 8 through 10 game placements. there's some variance on what rank you'll end up as, but it should be around 3-4 divisions below what you ended the season with
MasterDClone1 votesBut me and my friend we will try to win no matter what, one downfall we have is we never surrender too but thats beyond the point but i dont want to bbe placed in low silver or high bronze i want to start b5 and climb all the way up from the start so there is that.
With that in mind I then use preseason as a way to try new champions in ranked to see if they would work at seasons start and trying cool bot lane combos to cheese in early season(e.g: shen ali bot with relic is just broken)
So although your mmr does matter in pre-season something you need to remember is that Pre-season is a time for everyone to 1) take a break from the game or 2) try new things out for the new season

I'm not discouraging people coming into ranked with an off meta pick, just the type i know will int in games for the sake of inting
MasterDClone1 votesbut in blind and draft you get trolls and people that dont try as hard therefore not giving you the full ranked experience with the strat you want to try (not to say there arent trolls in ranked but just less then in norms) The other thing is norms is so unpredictable because you could see their team comp in champselect and then it turns out its a 5 man jg making my strategy unusable.
I agree with you that those who join the ranked queue to int for the sake of int should be banned regardless of if it's preseason or not.

MasterDClone1 votesoh yes i do get called a troll pretty often but everyone seems to have a different opinion on what a troll is for me a troll is someone who purposefully ints. anything else isn't considered trolling in my opinion idc if my adc is going lethality soraka if they want to play it they can idc that it's their first time soraka for me i won't flame them for trying something new because it gives me inspiration on something i should try.
secondly when I try new strats right out the gates in ranked it's always playing a champ i know how to play really well like in my previous example of Shen and alistar bot i am a master7 shen with over 150 000 points on him while my friend is m6 but the next game i tried a new start (rengar lee sin bot) we tried the game in a blind it worked so we brought it to ranked. and i never said i never go into a norms game before hand but norms doesn't give the full experience is all

MasterDClone1 votesRanked is where i go to have a serious game of league of legends and if me and my duo want to win games with a second version of a tactic that has been proven to work( sticky bandits) with champions that we are both fairly good at then i would think that I am not trolling .
Also i played 3 placement matches with this strat and i got 2 wins 1 loss. so i would call this a shitty strat it's just abusing the strong bits of the current meta. and we didn't theory craft this it's the sticky bandits, you can search them up they made diamond only playing leona taric bot everygame

You taking a strat better players used in a elo lower than their mains is trolling because you arent as good as them and if you played it for lets say 100 games i would bet money you would win max 30.
