100% Unjust ban

So recently I played a game and was banned right after for "inflammatory and/or offensive language". I want to know in what universe is this considered flaming? I'm just trying to improve, meanwhile I'm getting flamed all game by my team and even the enemy team being called a "%%%%%%" and "retard" (surprisingly wasn't called autistic). I get that there's a system that looks for specific words that may lead to a ban. I follow the summoner's code and do not flame even when I'm frustrated at either myself or my team. Why am I getting banned for just not being good at the game. I know I'm not that great but I play to try and improve, how can I do so if I'm being punished for simply typing in chat.

This was the only chat log they sent me and the only game I had anyone openly say to report me. Someone please bring some attention to this. Thank you.

UPDATE: No way I'm getting an account retrieval, I'll just have to wait the 14 days. :/ guess i'll be more careful next time.. Thanks to everyone who agreed with my case and supported me, hopefully the toxic teammates I had to deal with suffered a worse consequence.

Based on said screenshots in a later comment (due please edit into the main post), I am inclined to believe you.

However, this also leads me to ask if you skipped 100% of all punishment tiers. While I'd say this punishment cannot be justified, if others exist than I'd give my advice. Currently, I don't wish to look like a fool.

open a support ticket. I don't think you should be banned for repeating what another person was saying. I hope they got banned.

Yeah I think it's just cuz you repeated the magic word. You should get some leniency.

I will say though, if you're getting flamed, it's not a good idea to announce it to everyone in the game and call that person toxic. That's not the point of reporting. It's not to get everyone to focus on you as the victim. The focus should just be playing the game, but you used to chat to focus on things being said in chat. If you report the person flaming you, thats all you need... theres no real benefit of announcing to everyone that youre getting flamed and saying someone else is toxic. You should have just kept playing, say what you were trying to do if you feel necessary (pertaining to why you got flamed), and report after game.

Theres your problem right there.

You attempted team communication.

Riot hates it when people use team communication and they will punish you for doing it.

... They'll also punish you for not doing it...

Their stance is actually a oxymoron on this subject.

Since the only way to correct in game actions is team communication.... but practically anything you communicate can be taken as reportable.

In fact, you just simply saying your going to report someone is punishable in itself. I know I was shocked too when they told me.

So prettymuch, ritos plan is they know their servers are super toxic, so instead of attempting to fix something they cant fix (in game player actions) they are instead doing damage control. This means making people like you stfu about their toxic servers or the toxic players in it, since if nobody is alowed to talk about it, there isn't a problem.. right?

I keep trying to get help desk to address this but they keep talking about some chat restriction from 4 months ago when I'm actually trying to talk to them about the oxymorons in their system and how nothing has changed in their system aside of harsher punishments since season 1 (I know I've been playing that long)

This company has zero interest in reform or advancing this community past it either.

You open help requests they will straight up denie you a manager, or tell you they don't have one and are all equals part of a team... its like they have zero accountability for not doing their job properly, if a toxic person goes back into the system, its no big to their paycheck or their job, they could care less....

Welcome to the meat-grinder, where nobody cares and the more you complain or point out the issues, the more you'll be grinded and treated like your the problem.

You get judged by YOUR behavior, not anyone else. The correct reaction to being flamed is to ignore it, because why should you care? Nobody else wants to see a dickwaving shitflinging contest between two annoying kids, regardless of how justified they both feel.

If you are not able to ignore it, this is why there is an amazing feature that helps you ignore people, which you can activate by typing /mute @ChampName

You didn't post your chatlogs. You should post them so we can review and might be able to explain your ban and discuss whether its worthy of a punishment.

The way riot bans is based on bots in logs. I was perm banned and have received several chat ban for less then toxic chat. Most of the time its quoting or using the same language as a another player. Really it just comes down to who many reports you get. If u receive enough in 1 game it doesn't matter what you said you get banned. Thats riot and the bs they try to pull. This comment will most likely get taken down but thats the ugly truth. No use in fighting a botted system. item 3348
