My account was banned for 3rd party software
Tried to log in to my account and it said I was banned for 3rd party software. I check my match history and there are 6 games that I didn't play. I already submitted a ticket, what else should I do?

you did everything. now you gotta be patient.
And persistant. From what I've seen on the boards, it can sometimes take reopening/refiling the ticket a few time before you get someone to look past the 3rd party issue into the hacking.
This sounds exactly like what happened to me. Someone got on my account and played 2 ranked games. I logged on as they were playing and kept kicking them off game. I changed password, contacted riot, the whole 9 yards. But 3 hours later I was banned for 3rd party software lol.. I had to make another ticket and they fixed it right away.
How do you guys even manage to have this happen to you? There are only few reasons this happens
- actually cheating
- cheating software and websites. Macro and scripting software that come with your mouse and keyboard. Overlays that provide gameplay assistance or additional information, visible ranges, elo checkers, profile stalkers, etc.
- your username and password was keylogged by 3rd party websites
- You fell for free RP scams
- viruses and malware
- brute force guessable password
- sharing your account
- boosting
9.999999999999999% of the time it is always your fault
What most definitely did not happen
- "hacked"
okay stop right now, this is wrong and you need to learn what "hacked" means. No one is going to go out of their way to actually hack you for information unless you are a millionaire, professional player, or a high profile streamer. Unless they are really bored, or proving a point. It takes a lot of effort to avoid being caught. Why would a skilled hacker target some random nobody when they can create a virus, website, to log 100000s of accounts to sell?
- database breach.
Riot will make a very wide and important announcement if this happened.

Never listen to ANY riot official, employee, or any degenerate ingrate with a title, or anyone else on the internet about what software is allowed. They are either lying, oblivious, or ignorant.
Your security, is your responsibility. Even when it's Riot's fault, it's actually your fault. Riot will never, ever be responsible. Riot could have zero database security, and will still blame you, and ban you. Technically, they can ban you for having a legal operating system.
