Summoners code what? Toxic Community.

How people go unpunished for certain behavior completely bewilders me. Ping spamming is one of these behaviors. It doesn't break the summoners code and goes completely overlooked. So does malicious "constructive criticism" with the intent to turn the entire team against one person. For an example, time and time again I have seen instances where one player will claim something completely stupid like "YOU LET ME DIE". Saying "You let me die" is not against the summoners code. But it should be for several reasons.

One - It's a tantrum that shirks one player's responsibilities onto another. Someone over-extended, they died, they put the blame on another. This has obvious implications, like basically saying that someone could have done something different, should have done something different, thus they are a bad player who is helping feed the enemy team. Ultimately, it's a temper tantrum from a tilted nub who can blame their own bad plays on someone else, but stay within the "summoners code". Two - Repeating the behavior over and over again can easily create a change in the team's mentality. The claim that "He keeps letting me die, won't help me, won't save me" may not even be true. But a pattern of repetition in saying it might rally certain mentality among the other team mates to find a scapegoat for a gold disparity between the two teams. I find it all too often that the person who is actually doing the feeding can manage to successfully point fingers at another team mate, which can earn them unearned reports from multiple team mates. Three - The summoners code allows this type of behavior to happen and in fact encourages it. It's an obvious gaping loop hole in the summoners code which is the best way, and a great way, a cry-baby can troll a team mate without actually being in violation of the code. In fact, on contrary they can even be seen as fully following the code, and providing what they could claim as constructive criticism. "You have to stop letting me die". I've literally seen this happen where I was bot lane adc, with a janna support. Janna was inting into the tower or into 2v1's on purpose. INTING! And saying "he's letting me die, he's letting me die, he won't help me". My team ultimately reported me and I got a warning. It was completely unearned. It was just a tilted angry team.

Ping spam is another unaccounted for issue. When a team mate makes a bad move, gets pwnt, and then ? ? ? ? ? ? spams you. For one. The ? is used for when enemies are missing, not to ask your team mate a question. Secondly, to spam it maliciously until you hit the ping cap is rude. And they will do it ALL game. 30-40 minutes of pinging. I know you "kick him when he's down" types will just say "Theres a mute button". But there's also a chat filter for cuss words, this doesn't mean people are allowed to excessively cuss. Also, muting someone can earn you a team-wide report, I've seen it happen so many times, where someone has muted multiple members of their team and received sweeping reports for lack of communication, negative attutude etc. All the features designed to protect normal average players from malicious trolls ultimately end up being used against them somehow. Including this garbage summoners code, which is either too relaxed, or not strict enough.

It is reportable, and you can also mute pings.

I just mute and mute ping anyone that......

is feeding has very low CS through their own mistakes blaming me for their own mistakes ignores a warning ping that a gank is incoming (why listen to them if they dont listen to me) makes bad calls for drake, baron, or other objectives

The game becomes a lot easier to carry when I stop listening to all the "bad noise" that these bad players create. I mean they are just unskilled mouth breathers, so what is the point of getting worked up about whatever stupid thing they are trying to communicate? Easy solutions.

Hovering your name, unless it hasn't updated, says your only 21. You have only begun to play this game. As far as communities go, LoL is one of the worst for toxic behavior, but you can report them and Riot is dealing with reports and punishments. The leveling from 1 to 30 has been the most toxic portion for years because it is full of new players who do not really care if they are punished or smurfs who again do not care if they are punished and if you are running into a lot of people who do not realize that the priority job of them staying alive is on them, then that furthers the point even more. You can't really point out "a critical flaw" with the game that you have only begun to play. People have already pointed out the mute system to you and you seem to already know about the report system, those are in the game for this specific reason. Reporting for the "tantrum", saying "You let me die", repeating the spam in chat, and "ping spam" can all be reported with valid reasoning put in the report description. All of your complaints are already addressed in the game and Riot is actively addressing them through the report system.
