BabaYaga, rasism and racist actions mean that someone is bullying or attacking people based on skin color. What you have posted about is not racist, because we have no way to know what color anyone's skin is online, and Riot Support has no way of knowing either.

This situation can be called unfair, but it is not racist.

Still trying to understand how is your problem is in any way relates to race.

First off, reversing/not reversing a chat restriction has nothing to do with your race, or anyone's race. The system doesn't know your race, and nor does Riot unless you specifically tell them for some reason.

Secondly, Riot Support does appear to have some discretion in giving second chances after a permanent ban, and we're not clear on when they can. Based on my personal observations, it seems to happen under the following situations (barring improper bans, which are reversed as a normal procedure):

  • A player's behavior showed significant improvement.
  • The player was polite, respectful, and understanding of why they were punished.
  • The player demonstrated commitment to reforming.
  • The player understood that being unbanned was not a right, not anything but a long shot.
  • The behavior that earned a ban was only just over the edge, or had significant extenuating circumstances.

Now, those are all guesses from the few times I've seen this happen, so don't take them as fact. The long and short of it is that Riot does not owe anyone an unban, and it is a discretionary exception to normal policy, not something that everyone gets just because one person got it.

Which player/post are you referring to? If you're referring to Tyler1, his account suspensions weren't reversed; only the ban associated with his persons was lifted. If you provide more context and information about your concerns, I'm sure the community can help you better understand the player behavior systems.

Reducing a permaban to a 14 day temp ban is really about a wrongfully issued permaban. So for example, say someone called Player X a n%%%%r, and then gets a 2 week temp ban, and then says "I got banned for calling someone a n%%%%r" in a game but isn't referring to anyone specifically and just talking about the situation and then gets elevated to a permaban because someone got upset at the person and reported them.

Sure the IFS is going to pick up on the zero tolerance policy word and escalate it to a permaban but it's technically a false positive and so it could be reversed or reduced down to another 14 day temp ban to make sure the person knows that they shouldn't ever type that word no matter what the circumstance.

The circumstances around your permaban will really determine whether or not you might have a reversible punishment.

It is true that some players have their permanent bans reduced to 14-day bans.

I have pointed out much larger inconsistencies than this to riot support. They don't care so don't bother. Just try to move on

It's not like you didn't do it ... the most obvious case it's Tyler1 who got his life ban lifted even through he is one of the most toxic streamer around. There isn't litterally a single video where he doesn't break the summoner code .....
