What's the deal?

Why is it that some people decide to hack accounts to play on them just to get them banned? I was shocked to see that my account had been banned so I checked match history, whoever hacked into my account was pretty fond of Orianna, a character I haven't played in months, in a game I haven't had time to play in weeks... WTF People
