low priority queue

It seems that the punishment system for afking in a game needs refining. When somebody leaves or does not play intentionally, fair enough putting them in a low priority queue. However when somebody has a connection issue that unfortunately manifests itself during a game I think it is unfair to punish this person to the extent that they are.

I got slapped with 5 low priority games involving 10 minute pre-queue waits because my internet provider failed on me, which im sure anyone can agree is unavoidable. Given somebody that has few instances of 'afking', doesn't it seem unfair to punish people for this in the same manner that you would punish people intentionally afking?

It feels unjust and frustrating. It is like rubbing salt in the wound to be frustrated for this to happen, to then be punished to this extent.

Is there a way to address this more precisely? Quite frustrated to be honest to be punished for something that I have not caused. A punishment only serves to teach lessons - other than "find a new internet provider", what lesson is there to actually learn here?

I think it's justified. You don't get punished for going AFK once. You get punished for going AFK frequently. If you have random 100% unavoidable interruptions so frequently that you get punished, I think it's fair to say that you should just not play.

Also people would just start pulling out internet cables or disconnecting from wifi to avoid getting LPQ.
