After playing this game for 4 years and spending probably 400$ supporting it. (I know it's a lot) I have been permanently banned. I was banned for being toxic. Here's how I read the system was supposed to work just now. You get chat bans, 14 day, perma ban. I went straight to a perma ban, although I tried to reform, I showed good behavior for more than 2 weeks still didn't say I reform. I played a game yesterday with friends and the enemy team was flaming. I counter flamed because they were being so toxic and I get reported. Although they never got reported or banned which made no sense at all. They reported me for THEM being toxic and since I was COUNTER FLAMING. I was going to mute all chat after that game and when I was starting another I was notified I was banned for being toxic. Me and my friends were really confused and I really want to know if it is possible to get my account back like I will literally do anything. Mute chat on my account for 100 games I don't care because if that's the problem and how I need to reform do it. I've played this game for almost 4 years and have spent so much money supporting and this is how they treat players who have had the SAME behavior ever since they started and their broken system bans people. Tell me if there's anything I can do and thanks <3

You're supposed to "show" good behaviour the entire time. You're supposed to abide by the rules you accept every single patch. You were already banned for 2 weeks. When you got that ban it said that any further violation of the ToU will result in a permanent ban. Did you just assume that not flaming like a child for 2 weeks is going to safe you from a permanent ban?

I never received a chat ban though, just went straight to band, also I was not toxic until that last game and tried to reform but nope instantly banned

To skip both chat restrictions you had to say some really stupid shit. Either racists, sexists or homophobic. So good job on that one.

You obviously didn't even try. If you did you wouldn't have flamed after 1 week. You're supposed to behave. And you couldn't do that. So try again with a new account or leave

Also I didn't go through for punishments just the 14 day and a week after perma banned attempting to reform no chat bans, which I should have received

If things seem bad enough, they can kick you up to a 14-day or perma-ban, skipping the chat restriction. It's also likely they won't/don't look fondly on 2 punishments within such a short time.

Although people on the boards can help you figure out where you may have gone wrong, the major action, if anything is going to occur, will come through you submitting a ticket, which you can do here.

As well as muted, disabled all chat, or ignored them. You flamed back, you were toxic after coming off a 2 week ban. Any punishment afterwards goes straight to a perma ban. Your own fault, ban deserved.

Also, Riot doesn't care how much money you spend. Buying RP doesn't exempt you from their rules.

The RP doesn't matter it's the fact that after all these years and TRYING to reform it's almost impossible, I never got a chat been which is what I needed just got banned and that's it

'Counter flaming' isn't a thing, you're either flaming someone or you're not. If someone is doing it to you, ignore them and play the game. You had a 14 day suspension before, you needed to just start ignoring people and if they're that bad just report them. Nothing comes from doing the same back to them, it only serves to potentially get you in trouble and make it more likely that you'll annoy your teammates and get reported as well.

My teammates didn't report me because it was a premade it was the enemy team, and yeah I should have just muted them which was the mistake I made and I shouldn't have flamed back at them.

Regardless, you should have known better than to flame back at the other team if you were actively trying to reform. Especially in a case where it's the other team being dicks in all chat, there's zero excuse for not muting them immediately and getting on with the game. There is no situation where continued communication with the other team is critical.

Regarding punishments to them, there's no way to know what their status is. They reported you when you had flamed, and you got punished. You complain that they were never reported for that game. That's your own fault if you neglected to report them for that game... But even if you (or somebody else on the team) had, that doesn't guarantee that those people were on the verge of a punishment at that very moment, and a report from that one game would push them over the edge.

Only other punishment I had was 14 day and it was within the month I've never been chat banned and tried to reform believe me

I remember there was a case of a person who got his account back after having reformed on a secondary account.

so maybe you contact rito support and ask for that?

regardless there's no such thing as 'counter flaming'. put simply: 'he did it first' is not a legitimate argument.

It's already too late to "reform" after being permabanned (_ as in for your current account_). Show us the chat logs when you're free.

This is what got you punished, you verbally abusing and harassing other players, often with racist comments which can indeed escalate a case to a 2-week or ban status depending on severity. Next time avoid verbally abusing and harassing other players for any reason as that is not gonna magically make things better (usually the opposite happens instead). If it's not helpful, respectful or constructive then just don't press enter.

It doesn't matter what the enemy team said, what matters is what you said. Everyone is judged based on their own behaviors alone and no one elses. We forum members don't know the history of your account (only you and Riot do) so all we have to go on is the chat logs and your comments here in this thread, and based on the chat logs provided the punishment was deserved due to the reasons I stated in my earlier post. If you'd like to try to contest your ban then contact Riot Support.

If it's straight to a permanent ban with no prior repercussions, this is usually when hate speech, racism, sexism, homophobia, etc. are involved. Permanent bans are usually Riot's way of saying "go play something else" by trying to weed out continuous trouble-makers. I'd recommend posting the chat logs so the community can attempt to assist you. Without them, it's hard to weigh judgment on your actions. Ultimately, it is you in which the responsibility lies to mute and/or report individuals that are toxic, without being toxic yourself. I know it sucks and doesn't really give much room to defend yourself without being at risk on your own, but it's the best system we have and usually works very well. You're always welcome to put a ticket in to Support as well, as there have been numerous occasions where individuals have been unbanned due to a failure in the automated system, but they generally will do a very thorough review.

Without the chat logs it's difficult for the community to be able to help in any way. They should have sent it with the e-mail about your punishment - make sure to check your Spam folder(s). Alternatively, you can log into the client and they should immediately post your Report Card to you with included logs.

Unfortunately, the only way to reform and keep your account is to do it while you are not banned. The ban is Riot's final card they play when they do not think your punishments have convinced you to change your behavior.

I've only ever had 1 punishment in the 4 years of me playing and I'm doing this from my phone so I'll get chat logs later, but it only shows what I said not the enemy team which said stuff that was way worse

They'll certainly be punished on their own actions, in the same way that you were punished for yours. We're all held accountable for what we say and do, not the actions of others. We can't change anyone but ourselves. They won't show what the enemy said because it isn't important, you're always free to mute them and not say anything back. That being said, the logs are still on file for Riot to take a look at the entire chat history, so if you were attacked by others you're free to report them all the same.

For getting your account back, you're always welcome to put a ticket in to Riot Support, however if the ban is warranted it will most likely stay.

It doesn't show the enemy chat logs because they don't matter -- I get that you felt you were provoked, and therefore justified in retaliation, but Riot holds everyone responsible for their own actions and ONLY their own actions. If reported, their flaming will count against them. Unfortunately for you your flaming, even if in response to theirs, counts against you -- there is always the option to simply not engage in flaming whether as an initiation OR as a response.

If your chat logs are clear and you feel the punishment is applied in error, you might have a case. If you were in fact toxic coming off of a 14-day ban then the account is almost certainly lost for good. That is, sadly, the definition of a permanent ban.
