I joined a game and my client did not launch the game to begin when it should have, I had to re open and close league.
By the time I got the client working, the game was "remade".
I got a 5 game punishment for "leaving"..
this has happened more than once this leaver buster thing is flawed.. I don't leave games but get punished for the client messing up? come on..
Deep Terror Nami2 votesLeaver Buster did exactly what it it's supposed to, you just had (likely) a connection hiccup that prevented you from loading in.
It sounds like you might have some occasional and slight interruptions in your connection, so please head over to the Connection Troubleshooting Log Reader. There, you can submit the Network logs from your match(es) and the log reader will show if you were having ping spikes and packet loss.
It will then will direct you to solutions. Please work through the solutions it suggests, and if you need assistance or they do not work come back here and we'll try to help.
You can also narrow down the source of latency or packet loss by downloading the WinMTR Network Diagnostic Tool, then use that to run a traceroute to the following IP (allow this to run for 5-15 minutes);

Zombiemaster2 votesPlayers with frequent connection problems are an intended target of Leaverbuster, not collateral damage, as they ruin games just as much as intentional leavers do. Why should your teammates have to suffer a 4v5 because you neglect to have the proper equipment/connection to play league? Until you can fix whatever your problem is, you will keep getting punished for leaving if you continue to play.

When I realized the launcher didn't load the game, I re opened it and everything worked fine.
I even made it back on time to vote no for the remake lol

Zombiemaster1 votesThey were in a 4v5 for the time that you were gone. A surprising amount of stuff can happen within the first few minutes of the game. Something won't happen every time, but the potential is still there that something can happen that the enemy team could possibly snowball of off.
Also, there is no way to reverse the punishment. If you are unwilling to get the proper equipment/connection to play League, then it's probably best that you find another game that you can play that you won't frequently disconnect from, or one that won't negatively affect others if you do disconnect.

Some people do not understand and there is no sense trying to make you understand. Whine and bitch all you want. You are at fault because you play the game with a sub par system. It's that simple. Fix it, deal with low priority que or stay out of online games. You are ruining other peoples games.

On the other hand don't worry. I too hate when my #potato does that.
Maybe try cleaning your PC and uninstalling programs to add more space or etcs? That could help for the time being if you can not afford what 99% of the forum community has in terms of luxurious PC that is running more than 60FPS.

It comes down to either fix your computer, your internet, or probably you should look to play a different game where connection stability isn't as important. This isn't being flip, it's just how it is.
