At Least 50% of Toxicity Comes from Bot Lane

Maybe matchmaking two people with wildly varying skill levels in a lane that requires significant cooperation with the added risk of autofill creates an inherently toxic situation.

Assuming you are not toxic 50% is precisely the amount of toxicity you'd expect to come from the lane with two players... So even if we assume your personal experience actually reflects the proper statistics, and even considering the fact that the "at least" implies there's a slight bias upwards, it's obviously still not such a significant difference that you need a theory to explain it.

And maybe adding first turret gold and have highly contest, RNG objectives on that side of the map leading to Jungler camps also adds to the level of salt, tilt, and frustration down there. [zombie-brand-clap]

Whether anyone wants to admit it or not, bad play causes toxicity almost all the time. I don't care if it's someone's right or not to suck. Those players ruin games time after time and cause people to tilt. I am sure we have all caused it at one time or another but it's those dumbasses who repeatedly do it and don't take steps to improve themselves that are the main culprits. There is nothing we can do about it either because there are ZERO incentives for a person to improve oneself.

It doesn't help that marksman are basically a glass cannon arms race meaning if one gets a lead they're just flat out better until they make a big mistake or the one that's behind gets help from his team.

I think main reason is the fact marksmen think they are the rulers of the lane. The common way of treating supports has caused this. Support should do what he is told, and all tactical understanding and advice of this despised role of team work is ignored.

Main reason for this toxicity is Riot themselves. They talk of K/D/A score like it matters. They talk kills are important. And Riot refuses to announce in loud voice that kill steal whine is not accepted. Thus adcs have nowadays Divine Right to take all farm and all kills. It is also very common delusion that creep kill on support is stole. It does not matter that support farmed while adc was dead. And Riot themselves boost this by announcing game events are not used in Tribunal.

RIot did also enforce this by making support as bottom lane role when they made new matchmaking system. Support should've been either floating (to determine where he wants to go), or out of any lane on champ selection. The former would be better as it would state the right of support to choose where he wants to go (top support, 2nd jungle, mid support, or bottom support), and would give strong message that support is equal member of team.
