Being harassed and Riot Support isn't doing anything, what should I do?

Just copy and pasting from reddit. It was removed though from there and I'm not sure why

Hey Reddit, it's gonna be a bit of a long story but let me explain it really quick. I'm going to leave names out of it so it's not a witchhunt or anything. So I've streamed for a while now and I played a game on my smurf and got trolled by somebody. I reported them post game, plugged my stream, and left. The player added me on League on what turned out to be 3 or 4 accounts and came to my stream. It was fine at first, I put up with his toxicity and general idiocy at first but eventually he started harassing other viewers so I banned him from my chat.

He proceeded to start harassing me on the client and sending messages on these accounts I wasn't aware was his. I have some of them saved, but they weren't very nice and were quite annoying. Easy enough fix though, I blocked him. He also proceeded to make over 70 twitch accounts to keep visiting my stream and harassing me and other viewers.

Now when I say he was harassing other viewers I mean it too. He was dm'ing them on twitch. He was rapid fire making new accounts to talk smack with. He even started adding people on the League client that he saw in my friends list and harassing them. This guy has messaged well over 10 to 15 of the people on my friendslist that he's seen on stream to harass them, and through them me. I submitted a ticket to Riot support on July 26th, and another one on the 29th. I've sent multiple updates as well. The issue is still not resolved. I've provided usernames on all the accounts he's been using.

So I guess my question is what should I do now? How do I stop him from harassing me and other people? I've also submitted a ticket to twitch but no response from them either. Is this just not an issue to people? Any advice helps, thanks

Honestly this sounds like it has progressed to the point where actual law enforcement might need to come into play. From what you describe, this person has made it their full-time job to harass you and anyone you might know.

Should you take such a measure against this person, track and save all evidence.

You should seriously move it to law enforcement at this point. This level of harassment you are receiving from the user is beyond just tilt or a no-life, he is genuinely and actively stalking your activities like a mad fucking psycho and should, therefore, be handled like one.

Plus, if law enforcement is activated Riot kind of won't have a choice but to help because the other option is keeping the identity of this person hidden which would be, albeit indirectly, synonymous to assisting him. Since Riot is not law enforcement themselves or a medicinal bureau, they don't have a necessary right of identity secrecy against the law. That's what I was able to find out so far based on the US law texts.

In other words, get the law involved if you want immediate results.

Harassment is on its on the twitch platform, riot can't do anything about it.

Take it up with twitch.

Sounds like a complete fucking loser. Honestly the best thing you can do is keep blocking his accounts and never agnolish his existance. I know it's hard, and I know it doesn't seem like it, but eventually, he will get bored and leave. Shut him out, give him nothing. Also, message Twitch instead of Riot cause Riot ain't gonna do shit. If this shit continues for another month or so then legit bring in law-enforcement. Imagine making 70+ twitch accounts to fuck with someone cause you lost at a fucking video game, what a fucking egg, haha.

Sounds more like a twitch problem. League client chat is an opt-in experience. You choose who to talk to, you choose who not to. You can block (as you did), or you can do the even easier task of just not adding people you don't know. I don't see the problem here. These are all results of YOUR choices. YOU choose to broadcast yourself and open up your communications to strangers. If anything, this sounds like something you should be talking to twitch about, not Riot.

How is it Riot's problem for what happens over at Twitch? Shouldn't you be contacting Twitch?

Updating tickets might reset them in queue. Best bet is to just wait til someone responds.

You can also probably contact twitch, and might be worth going to the police station and talking to them on if theres grounds for a police report.

I don't really see any problem on Rito side, delete him from your friend list and you are fine. Or am I wrong? :D

well send a ticket to twitch with the original name of the guys account. they tend to IP ban since this is pretty severe.

Well then you just have to wait. That's the best you can do. There's nothing more. You mentioned you brought it to reddit in the hopes of more eyes and attention, but you can't force the hand so to speak. At the end of the day, you just have to have patience. This may be a long haul.

Also, any harassment in game goes to Riot. Any twitch communication goes to twitch. Riot won't take your twitch evidence. etc.. etc..

When you submit a ticket, it usually takes 2 days for a response, and 9/10 times, it's an automated response until you reply to the comment it makes, then you'll get a actual human being.
