This game is so much fun but hosts the worst people I have ever met on the face of the earth.

I have had nothing but garbage experiences with 99% of the players in this game and no matter what you do its always a general "well then we dont want you here" response. I have run about 3 accounts, all silvers and higher, one of which i spent this year working my backside off to get into silver5 (dj wildcard) and the others i placed higher or ended up in easy starting games with mostly afk enemies. GG.

If you say anything at all to your team there is about a 20% chance someone will afk or rage out or flag you for something. If you say anything about someone elses gameplay it goes directly into an argument about how toxic you are for giving advice. If you say anything at all in this game anywhere to anyone of the community it quickly gets flamed with "well your garbage" or "YOU CANT SPELL OMFG GG TILT THROW"

I've been chat banned on my (DJ WILDCARD) account maybe 7 or 8 times now and this last one was from a group of kids who were demanding that they could get me chat banned because i didnt help them in a 1v5. I was like "well your trash so i dont care" and they actually did.

I am actually chat banned from a group of kids who were cussing at me and all reported me after game. They didn't care what I had to say, they didn't care that they were swearing at me, nothing mattered except the fact that they had enough people and went "ENEMY TEAM REPORT SWAIN FOR TOXIC A F"

so here i am, done.

I'm a professional DJ and gamer and I will no longer play this game. I will no longer support anything to do with riot games or league of legends.

There is honestly nothing you can do except note the number of people that immediately flame my post.

I have made 1 other post in the past and it was "hey i play vlad and zed, id like to play with a team of 5, here is my gameplay video"

my response to that was insane:

  • your combos are complete trash and you know nothing at all about playing that character
  • your cs is so garbage that nobody would ever want to play with you (even though its at 200 and im 20-0)
  • you are so stupid for dashing backwards one of the times at around 7 minutes
  • you need to learn your champion because obviously you dont know wtf ur doing
  • YOU ONLY DID GOOD BECAUSE EVERYONE ELSE IS GARBAGE

I have never felt so sick of a gaming community before in my life.

I run clans on Diablo, call of duty, rocket league, minecraft, runescape, guild wars, helbreath (nemesis & legion), and blade and soul, and cabal 2.

THIS GAME IS FULL OF THE WORST PEOPLE I HAVE EVER WASTED TIME WITH. I AM HAPPY TO SAY I WILL NEVER READ THE REPLIES TO THIS.

THANKYOU ALL FOR MAKING THIS GAME SO TOXIC AND BUTHURT THAT THE REPORT SYSTEM IS ABOUT 1/3 OF THE GAMEPLAY FOCUS.

Though i agree with you 100%. 90% of the community just doesn't get that.

Every kid that plays this game wants to have a 90% win rate because if they don't they get salty and troll and become toxic.

I don't blame him for leaving this game. It has the most toxic community in all of gaming (from my experience).

The only way I've enjoyed playing this game is to MUTE ALL when the game starts and pretend nobody is chatting at all. I just don't wanna hear it.

and its like...okay....thanks for the 10 game chat ban again -_- now i cant help my team in ranked later today....

im just real burned out, we need an "ADULT" mode where only the people in that mode can chat with eachother without any bans for saying things. Its just words, people need to learn how to socialize.

You can swear, but just not at others. The moment that you start swearing and cussing others out is when you can be punished for verbal harassment/abuse. From the Tribunal FAQ:

What's the point of having a language filter if I can get banned for 'adult' language? We aren't out to punish players who use adult language; in fact, very few players are ever banned for saying stuff like "f***, I missed that skill shot" or "damn, fing close game!" However, the language filter is not an excuse to verbally abuse someone in the game. When you verbally abuse or harass someone by calling them "fing *****" or "ngger noob", that's when you've crossed the line and will be punished by the Tribunal. I've said this before and I'll say it again, we aren't trying to clean online games of adult language; we're trying to reform or get rid of jerks who like to verbally abuse and harass other players.

Why is verbal abuse punishable if there is a mute button/language filter? Players shouldn’t need to rely on features like the mute button or language filter to engage with other players in positive ways. When a player verbally abuses another player and forces him to use the mute button, they have already created a negative experience for that player.

Also, you aren't punished for just one or two or three "slip-ups", but for consistent negativity instead. If you can't use the chat in a neutral or positive manner then just don't use it at all whatsoever.

P.S. Other people behaving worse than you will never ever excuse your own poor behavior. That will only result in the both of you being punished rather than just the original one raging jerk instead.

They cant get u chat banned if u werent offensive or negative. If you were, then reason doesnt matter.

It sounds like he had a really unfortunate series of events. Sure there are people who get easily frustrated, but I can't say with any enthusiasm that this game has a more salty community than, say, Smash Bros. It's just that those games don't take 20-45 minutes of communication and dependence on strangers to win, so you don't see the saltiness as blatantly.

(PS: If he's reading, try to appeal your chat restriction.. "stfu" doesn't sound restrictable)

Edit: Oh... so based on your stream, you've been chat banned a lot. If you stop playing because you don't want to be held responsible for your own words, that's your prerogative, but don't think that ordinary chat will get you chat-banned.

nah its like the idea that there is a chat restriction. I say something like "hey your trash, eat shit" and suddenly OMG the community is in shambles this poor child just got word-raped by me.

I just want to be able to speak freely without this crazy list of bans from certain things. If I want to rage out let me, if people dont want to hear it there is a mute button. But to alter someones gameplay because 2 people were arguing and 1 of them had friends to get them reported for it, thats trash.

Thats insanely garbage.

Riot should make the 'mute' feature to where if you mute someone, it's like they've muted you too.

That way someone can just mute everyone in the game and let their anger out without getting banned.

It reminds me of CoD when you mute someone it's not that you don't hear them, but that they can't hear you too.

examples:

me: hey can u ping next time mid comes up and ganks me? general response: OMFG UR SHIT REPROTED OMFG TOXIC AS FUCK RAGE OUT AHHHH!!!!

me: jungler can you please gank me like once this game general response: Well if you were such shit i would. REPORTED!!!!!

me: well at least its almost 20 minutes since my entire team fed and were 3-40 general response: its your fault because your top lane and you should help bot lane because your doing better than them

and its like, at some point im just out of it, im done being nice, im like hey eat shit kid, ur trash and i hope your family dies in a burning car wreck, slowly.

so yeah im an asshole, but thats because im playing with toxic assholes all day and it gets to me, so after a while, my rammus w pops and im like, enjoy the passive agressive dooshbaggery everyone! =D have a nice day!

So I'm confused, you're both wishing that you can say anything you want (including wishing death on their families), AND other people don't say things that bother you?

You're trying to excuse your behaviors by blaming the community but you don't understand that maaaaybe they're impacted by the very same community?

By the way, reports from groups count as a single ban, so it couldn't have been the only report you got in that period.

I mean it does suck that you had that type of experience while playing this game. I had my fair share of toxic people, but sadly there is nothing more that they can do, chat band can only do so much, trolls and the likes need to be dealt with at a much faster pace, but if that's the case there could be too many "false positives" and innocent people will get ban.

It's best to either play with friends, so just mute everyone at the start of the match and just play regularly. Yes people are going to do poorly, you will get trolls, feeder, and everyone in between. That's like common in any type of online game.

Ok not to be a dick but you are being really condescending here. I don't really know what you expect by opening a tread calling 99 percent of us shit. Then calling us out for being terrible while most board members are neutral at the worst. Then you are surprised your thread gains downvotes.

This community is bad yes, but I have good games more often then not and mute trolls to keep me from getting salty(mute all if needed). Knowing how the ban system works, your 10 day chat is because the game found you to be slipping up to the bad side of the community, meaning you are being toxic sometimes.

that is great but, those games are different for all kinds of reason. almost all off those are paid games, that have communities that for that reason watch their words more. Some of those game aren't pvp but Co-op focused. As for blade and souls it's 1 vs 1 and has no one to rage against but yourself. Am I saying that this excuses the community overall? NO IT DOESN'T, it's still annoying when someone is tilting and you should report him. This also counts if this person is being annoying as a response to other people being annoying.

And that fucking poll at the end is just sad. I mean you really prove you are an upstanding player by placing something like that in your post.

I am always sad to see a player leave because of bad experiences, I do hope you find a fun new relaxing game to play and wish you good luck with your dj/gamer carreer.
