So my smurf was permabanned when i said kys in the chatlog midgame, but i duo with my friend and he says kys when hes gettin beat (which is very often) and he doesnt get any punishment. my question here is why was i permabanned and he faces no consequence when we both say kys

just because your friend does it does not mean you should be doing it.
buying skins does not grant you immunity from punishments.

One thing that does impact being punished or not is the frequency of toxicity. A person's main account has been around for years, played thousands of games, a few bad games isn't going to kill the account.
A smurf account rushes up to level 30, then starts being toxic right away. That's going to earn punishment more reliably.
This is just a theory, but it could explain some of the differences in your account status. That said, I'd really suggest that you refrain from typing kys in any of your future games.

There could be several reasons. He doesn't get reported as much, the time you got reported they happened to have staff available to review it, maybe they had a backlog on the day your friend got reported, maybe they're gathering more evidence to give him a straight permaban. Who knows.

Chances are you got reported and your friend didn't. Simple as that. The system can't punish unless there is a report.

this happened a long time ago so i dont have any chat logs but he still does it, i did it once and i got perma banned and hes a frequent flamer literally daily and he faces no punishment
