14-Day Suspension, Unwarranted

So my account just got the 14-day hitstick, and I wholly feel it is unwarranted.

I've been reported in some games, nothing too serious.

My last game, I took Riven jungle, and my top laner raged because apparently he wanted top lane Riven, claiming to be a Riven main. He is not a Riven main, and just intended to troll from champion select.

So, he picked Jhin top and, to start off the game, he immediately called me: "cun t" "bit ch" And later calling me things like "cocksucking bitch," etc.

As soon as he hit level 6, he immediately left top lane and followed me around the jungle and map, using Jhin's last/crit strike to last hit monsters---for the remainder of the game. Anywhere I went, he went, and he completely opened top lane to Nasus.

So I asked for everyone to report him, and I reported him for griefing, hate speech, and intentionally feeding---which he also did. A few minutes later, I received the instant feedback notification: My account was suspended for 14 days.

Check the logs for this match please. I used no profanity whatsoever; I think at one point I may have commented "trash Jhin" because of what he was doing. If that's punishable in the face of a player trolling you and harassing you and using profanity/hate speech against you, then this system is completely off-base.

The last time you posted this didn't you also say you were lobbying to mass report too? Calling people trash and threatening with reports isn't acceptable behavior; mute/report them and don't add to the problem, the other players won't appreciate if you start ruining the game too. The other player is responsible for his behavior alone, as you are for yours, it isn't a contest to see who was most offensive.

Punishment also works by escalating you through 4 tiers; to get a 14 day ban would require you to have prior punishments and not changing your behavior, or committing a severe offense which would warrant skipping tiers. You should post your chat logs to discuss this.

Yes, this player was trolling, intentionally feeding, using profane hate-speech against me, and preventing me from playing to any degree (following me around the map preventing me from farming, intentionally feeding any enemy champion I walked near).

Yeah, I have been punished in the past and I'm not contesting prior punishment. I'm contesting that getting punished this time was unwarranted.

That's what we're trying to get to the bottom of. Post your chat logs and we may be able to identify what the problem is; if there is no problem and you were punished by error (however unlikely that is) you can submit a Support Ticket to contest your ban. Posting on the boards is mostly for getting community feedback.

False reports will only lower your report value, and not have any affect on those people.

But they won't be false reports if their chat logs contain words such as "bad" or "trash" or anything like that. Those are bannable.

This is probably very true - esp in lower elos. The number of deserved reports per game is inversely proportional to one's elo rating. There's a good chance that in any given silver game, usage of the chat at all is likely going to contribute to a loss, either from stupid/bad calls, to insults, to general allchat trolling designed to bait flaming all around.

The best course of action of course is simply /mute all every game, then immediately reporting all 9 players after every match, since its likely all of them are likely jerks anyway.

Asking for reports is punishable offense. It only takes one report (yours), to flag it in the system to review the game chat logs of that player. Anything more than that, is not weighted or stacked up in Riot's system, and is just needless griefing across the game, making it harder for all involved to focus.

This is a reportable offense, so yeah it's probably deserved. Not using profanity doesn't mean you weren't harassing another player or ruining the in game experience for your team.
