Reporting private messages?

Heya,

I wanted to ask why there's no feature to report messages or complete chats that have been written in the client - as in not ingame. Yesterday I had a game where I got stomped by a draven in lane but we won the game and stuff. He was completely flaming their anivia and I just argued with him that Anivia isn't inting or trolling or anything like that and that he shouldn't flame them. Later he added me and asked me why I flamed him (although I obviously didn't since there were no insults or anything involved from my side). I then explained it to him that he kept on flaming Anivia and that I only explained to him that he shouldn't harass her for having a bad game. It kind of ended in him saying stuff like "You're trash", "I won't listen to you", "Get some friends" (although he was the one that added me three times in a row after I unfriended him) and meaner stuff that I don't want to list here. So, I was wondering why there's no feature for harassment or toxicity in normals chats. The insult-filter already censors some stuff in the chat, why not also add a feature like that?

Sure, my case here is relatively harmless (except for the meaner stuff) and I already blocked him and stuff, however I've heard from friends that they got weird/creepy messages as well as people flat out adding them after the game to insult them since they won't get punished for that. Also since League of Legends isn't a game that is only played by adults, there may as well be stuff going on in those direct messages that may not be child-/family-friendly, so I guess there should be a filter or a feature to detect/report toxic/creepy people that sent toxic/creepy messages in the direct messages. Just an idea.

Yours,

Magimos

Because you agreed on having him in your list. Why would you accept/send a friend request to someone toxic.

Seems the better response may have been just reporting that person after the match, and then denying their add request instead of accepting it. Not really sure how you would report that aside from sending a support ticket but not sure if it would do much. Seriously though don't make the mistake of thinking you can reason with someone who's flaming or raging it will just be waste of time.

I don't get why you accepted their friend request in the first place, let alone 3 more times after unfriending them...seriously DON'T interact with people like that anymore than you have to. You should have just blocked them initially and never added them in the first place. I don't know if you feel obligated to accept every friend request or what but you have no such obligation so stop it. Only add people you enjoyed playing/interacting with.

Bro why would you even add him?! That doesn't make sense.

just ticket

there is probably a difference between a friend that has decided to go rude, and a stranger that added you to share his feelings.. if you got a screenshot of the log it would be better, however i think rito keeps the chat records on the servers soo they'd be able to give him some rest

still, don't forget that he isn't a challenjour.. like, today i was playing with the same player twice - in the first game, he became a properly fed Akali (yet was defeated by ori supp), and in the second, got deleted (including 1v1) by lulu adc

ouch. xd

for the other forumers - scenario: i played really well in a game, and someone from the enemy team wants to duo with me..

ooor not!

People on your friends list are your friends. Why is Rito supposed to be moderating private conversations between friends?

They think because they are in your friends its basically consent for letting them verbally abuse and harass you, which is awful.

Support tickets bruh.

Take a screenshot of the violation in the PMs, attach it to a support ticket, and wait eternity for them to tell you they got it, while declining to tell you the outcome (sketchy). Never fails...to disappoint.
