Chat Restrictions.

Okay, I've got chat restricted, fine. I just want to ask, why the hell you have to get punished for words in a GAME where you can mute other people. There's a mute button for reason, so there's no need to punish people who are toxic. If you want to punish toxic players, delete mute button or don't punish toxicity(insults etc.) and let mute button be, maybe then someone will finally use it.

PS. If you gonna post something about "blablabla its ur fault, u deserve it" you should learn to read, I said i'm fine with, I'm asking why it has to exist. Also if you wanna to trashtalk me, first look at yourself and in how many games you've flamed, I flamed once since 2 years ago and got chat restricted :)

First and foremost, what do you gain from being toxic in game?

Possible Gains Negatives

  • Team cohesion goes down
  • Chances of losing go up
  • You and/or other summoners have a negative attitude not only during the game. but it could even carry over to the next few games

I could go on and list a lot more reasons how toxicity is bad for any sort of team based game, but in short: there's NO reason to be toxic in the game. Sure a player may make a mistake or have a bad game overall. Well, things like that happen and being toxic solves NOTHING. It only creates additional issues that can have negative repercussions. In your case, you have a chat restriction.

In-game chat serves as a way to not only establish a relationship with your team, but also communicate objectives. Why have a mute button? Well toxic players get in the way of completing the necessary objectives of the game. Why would someone want to see someone saying nasty things? The mute button is a useful device for a player to use if they wish to not communicate or receive communication from someone else for whatever reason. The great thing is that they can still constructively communicate with the other players and not have to filter through continuous lines of bad language.

I recommend you take some time to try to improve your behavior rather than blaming the system.

Well, think of it this way. The system decided to go ahead and have 9 players mute you because it would be a waste of time to make them mute you themselves. So you've been muted by Riot. There.

By the time someone has to mute another person in game, it's already gone too far. Chat is a feature that exists to facilitate communication; abuse of that feature has consequences.

Having the option to stop you from continuing to cause shit doesn't excuse you from the shit you already caused.

Just because i have the ability to do something doesn't mean I should have to do it just because someone else can't be bothered to control their own actions.

Some people (mistakenly) leave their chat open even when someone is flaming / being toxic on the off chance they have something relevant to say. Some people like to goad the troll on and see how much evidence they can get for the after game report, some people want to know exactly what to report for at the end of the game so they leave the chat open.

TLDR: don't be an asshole and you won't have any problems.
