Toxic behavior definition

As per the player guidelines so far in league of legends, any player that has a negative impact in the game is defined toxic. It shouldn't matter if they act nice in the all chat while intentionally feeding the opponents, or trash talking people on live video while pretending to be a good person in chat or trying to pick on someone who points out the mistake they do. But right now, a lot of players are abusing the system in itself to report players randomly just because they got called out on what they did (whether it's feeding or being toxic or harassment). If pointing out someone's toxicity is also toxic, I'd like understand why is there a chat option? Is it too play the game better as a team or just fight?

Toxicity, as I view it, is anything that worsens your game experience. That threshold of "what annoys you" is gonna vary from person to person. Most everyone (I hope) dislikes intentional feeding, and will probably report it. You could think about the rest of those report categories at the end game screen, and there's gonna be a lot of variation as to who is gonna report when. Some folks don't care and will simply move on, other times not so much.

Saying things to defuse situations probably isn't toxic, depending on how you phrase it. When it becomes a continuous thing during a game, that's when I think it becomes problematic.

Chat's intended to be a tool to help your team communicate. Not to belittle others.

Because the English language is capable of more than just pointing things out

It's to talk strategy/joke. Seriously, some people act like they hav to respond to every jab at their ego. Like the other randoms in the game will look down on them for not replying to a troll.

Chat is for chatting about the game or being silly with friends and teammates. In the six years I've been playing that's what I've used it for and that's why I've never seen a single punishment despite having a game or 20 where someone tried to get to me. I just mute em and play the game.
