Did riot get harsher with bans?

14 day suspension part 1

Hey, I have came back to league after some time ago (bout 1-1.5years) and decieded to make new account to play with RL friends on eu northeast. Everything went fine but I gotta admit when someone rages me I can rage at him back which im not proud of but sometimes I just cant stop. Well I didn't get any warning about my bevariour nor chat restriction even once(on this account). But today I logged and got insta 14 days ban which kinda surprised me. Did riot get more harsh or did I really cross the line? I don't think i used hate speech or anything that seriouss (well called someone trash at worst). Just pointing out I've been playing lol since 2009 with brakes and worst i got was chat restriction. Not saying It is not my fault but I think If i got notification about my behaviour not being on par or chat restriction before I would propably temper myself a little (or mute all when im being tilted).

How recently was your last chat ban, out of curiosity?

Also, disregard this statement:

That is NOT how the system works in this instance. Saying things like "Gnar killed me" is totally fine.

Riot didn't get harsher but people got stupider, every game there are at least 3 flamers and I'm glad Riot is putting in the effort to ban them.

Also each and every line you typed was really negative such as starting the game with "ff fcking joke team" [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

I have zero sympathy for anyone who gets a suspension or ban for language. Get over it and clean up your act, and it won't happen again. Simple.

Being a dick will be rewarded accordingly. Just remember that there's a difference between simply being frustrated and being a dick. If you get tilted, take a break before you do something you will regret.

If I said things like in your images, like "ur trash as fuck admit it" I'd be expecting a ban as well. I think calling people trash is about the worst thing you can to do someone short of cursing up a storm outright.

Telling people they are "trash" is not going to inspire them to improve and in fact will likely only make a bad situation worse. If you're unhappy with someone's performance and feel like you have to say something, you can at least be a little constructive about it, saying things like "If you work on doing this in that situation, you may find greater success" or "Please work on < area of performance>. If you want some tips in this area, I'd be happy to help."

If you encourage people instead of berate them, they may actually improve and become less of a burden to the people around them in future games. And what could possibly make you feel better than saving your fellow players the stress of playing with someone "bad" ?

Wait, are you for real? in that context "gz killed a support" was overall a praise that my teammate did something good and we could comeback despite me being titled - I actually remember that game. I guess that happens when bots ban people and actual people are not checking logs. Is there any way I can appeal or get my logs revised by actual human not a bot? Amumu

i think a 2 week suspension is quite harsh but i believe it's for a reason. It sets you as an example for others that even such a minor level of toxicity wouldn't be tolerated, and it means you're unable to get season rewards which is near worse case scenario for being banned. i also got a two week ban just after the cut off date for losing rewards, for flaming a troll but unfortunately toxicity is still toxicity even against a troll. Just made an alt for the gold reward first good victorious skin since janna imo.
