Great job! Chat ban the victims!

I've noticed something after awhile of playing League here. Whenever you get reported, even if it's because you dared to complain when you get stuck in a team that literally fed, they seem to take it seriously.

League, what are you using for this system of yours? Are you using some bupkis machine learning algorithm to validate whether you think it's a good idea to take action or are you forgetting how bad your own player-base is when people play random matches? Is there any reason you shouldn't put some responsibility on the players to mute others when they're annoying while in game, especially if they're not being particularly offensive?

I recently had a chat ban placed on me, or at least I believe it is. Everything I type comes out as little boxes and it doesn't really work. This is after I got trolled hardcore in a 3v3 match where my teammates went 0/19/0 and 1/22/0. The one was coincidental, because our Kayle and Ryze were both playing like they were bots. I dared to complain and call them feeders, and all the enemy team did was mock me and give me trouble, then say they're going to honor them. (They also did their best to extend the match by killing us and using minions to destroy our turrets. Both my teammates just kept feeding the whole time.)

What's wrong with this game where you can get a chat ban after being reported by trolls? And where's the responsibility of the users to just mute people?

As long as someone plays and isn't intentionally throwing a game, that's what mute is there for if you don't like what they're saying in the chat. Have the PC police gotten in here and started censoring people who actually have the guts to call someone out for feeding and trolling? Because when you're a victim of these people it really sucks to come back in and find League is taking action against you of all people. Last time I checked I should be able to complain about them as long as I use civil language, and if they have a problem about it they should be able to mute me. Not whine to you guys and get daddy to come rescue them because someone on the internet called them out.

Great job: You fell for their bait and got yourself into trouble. You're responsible for how you act. You don't need to call for reports. It only takes one to flag the game for review and announcing or begging for reports is considered harassment. As soon as you brought it up -- in all/ chat, no less -- you became part of the problem.

If your teammates are trolling you, mute them, report them after the game, and forget about them. That's all they deserve: to be forgotten.

You didn't get a chat ban, that's not what it does. It will tell you with a yellow system message that you only have a certain number of messages remaining (like 3/5, 2/5 etc.), and you'll also get a message in your client telling you how many games you are restricted for. You have some other sort of issue and you may need to repair your client (google search for this issue first, that might not be it).

Your real issue beside the point, if someone is toxic to you and you respectfully ask them to stop but they don't, mute them and report them. That's all there is to it.
