Questions about my suspension.

About an hour ago I received the message:

" 14-DAY SUSPENSION

Your account's been suspended until December 5, 2018, 3:43 PM for disruptive behavior in the game like trolling, griefing, intentionally feeding or deliberately trying to lose the match. Your Honor level dropped and you lost access to free rewards. The way out of the penalty box is to play to win without ruining the game consistently. After serving your penalty and showing focus on staying cool, you'll get a notification unlocking your rewards again.

An overwhelming majority of players say that any form of disruptive behavior ruins games. Your deliberate choice to ruin League for others reflects a gross breach of community-defined standards.

These games were the reason the account was penalized: Game 1 link: https://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2897760841/78752420?tab=stats Game 2 link: https://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2914661059/78752420?tab=stats "

The only two common denominators I can think of about both these games are 1) I was playing ezreal support; 2) My ADC was very angry, didn't do well in lane and was flaming me for basically the entire match.

Question #1) Am I allowed to play off-meta champions? I play this game mostly for fun but I do try my best every game even if my pick seems a little different. Any time an ADC wants to get mad am I going to be facing these kinds of punishments regardless of what I do?

Question #2) How do I react to an ADC or other player on my team flaming me? In both of these cases I simply typed once or twice that I was trying the best I could and then when they kept going on flaming me I said I was going to mute them in an effort to diffuse the negative chatter. Is there a better way to handle it? I've attempted to respond a bit more before(not in a negative way but just explaining a lot of the things they were saying that were not true) but received a chat ban for a few games after.

Question #3) Do I have any chance of getting this overturned? I don't know how the bans work enough but I know it wasn't the instant feedback type thing I got before with the chat. I don't think it went through the tribunal either...so does that mean it was a manual review? I don't feel like I did anything wrong in either of these games. We actually won one of them and I was a big contributing factor in that win. Is there anything I'm missing?

Dude, even I've played a lot of AP ezreal support and boy oh boy the flame I get even when I try my best to carry and do end up carrying or greatly contributing to my team. Your suspension is not fair, you were reported for trying an off meta champion which and ADC didn't like and SOLELY from your match history I can definitely see that you tried your best.

I really want a red comment on this to let us know what exactly was the cause you were banned because from the given data I find absolutely nothing wrong.

Seems like bs to me. The one game you won, it looks like you did a lot. And the second, you had a jungle with no items? Maybe they sent it to the wrong person lol. Riot please...you have to explain how those games contributed, because it looks like a biased review from where I’m sitting.

#1) YES, YOU ARE ALLOWED TO PLAY OFF META CHAMPIONS. There is absolutely no excuse for you to receive a punishment for no reason other than picking an off-meta role/build. However, intentionally picking something against your team's wishes just to piss them off is griefing, and IS reportable. As it doesn't look like you did that, I see no reason why you should have gotten this punishment.

#2) BRIEFLY TRY TO LOWER TENSIONS, AND IF IT DOESN'T WORK, MUTE AND MOVE ON. If somebody begins flaming at me for my pick choice, I briefly try to lower tensions by apologizing if my pick really bothered them that much or say something like "come on man, we got this, no reason to flame!". If that doesn't work, I just mute them. If the rest of the team isn't being toxic/negative, I'll let them know I'm muting the person for communication's sake so they don't think I'm just outright ignoring a team mate. If everybody is being toxic, I just mute and focus on my own gameplay.

#3) SHORT ANSWER, NO, LONG ANSWER, MAYBE. Riot absolutely despises admitting to giving out unwarranted punishments and as support is always very busy dealing with thousands upon thousands of reports and requests every single day, support has a tendency to be robotic in their responses and stick exclusively to policy. If you open a support ticket and explain everything about the situation and specifically ask which part of the matches involved is what warranted the punishment and ask what you can change so it doesn't happen again, there is a chance that another manual review will show that you didn't actually deserve the punishment, and it will be overturned, but don't count on it, especially if it's already at a 2 week suspension.

Honestly, at this point if you value your account, I'd send a support ticket to see if it can be overturned and if not, just don't do anything weird for a long while. Mute people without a word the second any hint of flaming or negative behavior shows up, and don't use chat except for very quick very specific calls or to say "gj" or something like that. I ate a permaban because riot actively looks for literally anything you do that they can possibly claim is in any way shape or form "negative" despite getting repeated honors and climbing the checkpoints fairly regularly. If you don't want this to happen to you, just play it as safe as you possibly can.

Yeah just play them, players may not be so forgiving in ranked though. But play what you wanna play. There aren't any rules in how to play the game besides the basic game mechanics.

Question #2) How do I react to an ADC or other player on my team flaming me? You don't. As in YOU DON'T REACT. If you react, they win because they invoked your frustration and it pleasures them when they feel like "they're right" if you react you give the flamer the power to control. Then it becomes a cat and moust game of flamer makes a statement and then you react. The control they get from this is your reaction.

I would send a ticket in. I don't see anything wrong with this match. I don't see any chat logs either but idk if that's what influenced the ban.

Update: I didn't realize it generates another support thread when you request a human. Here's what they responded back with:

Your account has been suspended for 2-weeks for hurting the competitive integrity of your teammate's matches, not for intentionally feeding. Specifically for taking roles that were not assigned to you. Please excuse our incorrect phrasing in your reform card.

I know this has come to you in unexpectedly and quickly, but we do take this sort of behavior very seriously and we do need to penalize your account to this level of severity.

So, I'm awaiting another reply but I'm guessing the suspension is due to some type of "attempting to steal the adc role" which I find particularly frustrating since I play almost exclusively support / fill and would prefer to support.
