Banning a team mate pick...

Should give that team mate a free dodge. And in order not to be exploited make it have a cap and a CD ala ARAM where you need to complete matches in SR Draft in order to charge them back.

Since the introduction of 10 bans I'm not only having problems with enemies banning my pick (yeah I'm training with Yasuo but that easily applied to many other picks) but also with my own "team mates" banning it. This usually comes with insults directed to me when I ask why they did that and then to a toxic behavior of that person in the match with me already being pissed off to either be forced to play with that person and even trying to carry them to victory or suffer from the dodge queue (which I had my share and I don't always have 15 minutes to wait before even starting a match).

That or either put a specific report for banning others team mate picks.

The issue is that let's say mid is last pick. Mid wants Zed. Well the AD doesn't want to be quickly blown up. The AD decides to ban Zed because the pick is an issue and the enemy team could get it first easily. That's not a bad ban. Also if someone tries to talk to you and says "Hey can you not Anivia Support?" You say you're going it anyhow... They have the right to use the ban to not play with that.

That's why I wanted to put a cap (1 or max 2) to the free dodge and then use the same way as ARAM rerolls to charge it back.

The cases you exposed are indeed good reasons to ban the team mate pick but that could also be avoided with a switch betwen Mid and who was first picking (given that they have the respective champion). And also, would you want to keep playing with the guy who wanted to go Anivia supp no matter what?

Make the numbers so that the free dodge isn't gained that frequently and at least we can save a game which already started under really bad conditions.

Honestly people just need to get over themselves... If your lane partner doesn't want anivia Supp or Bot doesn't want to deal with Zed pick somjething else and continue on. We don't need a "free Dodge" system. We need people to grow up.

Edit: Example is awhile ago i was in a post where I banned Lux support and things got heated. I found myseelf banning a lot of support picks on my own team because I just didn't want to lane with them. Rather than be involved with things like this for the next however long I switched to maining top/jungle. It's just better to not cause problems in your games and try to win.

Quite covering non-problematic cases. A motivation like this would never be a problem for me for them banning the champion I got and there are even other ways to get around it.

But why do I even have to endure it when they do it for the sake of trolling? Why should we condone this behavior and putting the weight of the match (or the dodge with dodge wait time) on the shoulders of the guy that acts in the most reasonable way to avoid a conflicting enviroment?

Usually mid and top but I'm always ready to play supports or adc. I'm just allergic to jungling.

I honestly don't think the free dodges are healthy for a game that is based around adapting to your team and to each match. The best thing I can say is if you want to play conjtested champions have a backup. I've been playing a lot of Riven lately and most times even if I show intent to pick Riven I get banned out by my own team if I am not first pick. So I have my backup. Teemo. :) I still hurt people's feelings on him.

I have tons of picks. but when I meet such freaking toxic behavior and know it will be unpunished and all I can do is playing their game or get punished myself is starting to get on my nerve
