Confused Please Help

Just received a suspension. Hoping some could tell me what the issue is here. In the following game chats I am responding to toxic players on my team letting them know they will receive a report for continuously harassing me through game unwarranted. Nowhere in my comms, and they are the full comms of my character, do I attack anyone, call them bad, or flame in general. The only people i speak to are those trash talking me in multiple ways and using all chat to tell enemies I'm doing things I am not. I'm unsure why the enemies chat logs were not shown when I am being reprimanded. If being shown my chat is supposed to show me I'm in the wrong for simply stating they will receive a report, I'd like someone to point out exactly where i started being offensive and such. The worst thing I can find is asking a teammate to "get their head in the game."

Surely there is some mistake, or the report system is broken/ a joke?

Calling for reports is harassment in Riot ToS/Sommoners Code. To some extent i will agree. You dont need to tell people you are reporting them and usually when you do that you are trying to get at them, basically mocking them in a "Haha youll get in trouble". Plus you should be reporting players you feel have been breaking the rules. Not force others to do your work for you. especially since all it takes in one legit report to review a reported player, so why even bother telling others (numerous times mind you) that you are going to report someone. you just come off as a child screaming "im going to tell on you". You should have just muted the player and play the game nothing more, nothing less!

I shouldnt be forced to have to mute players because they are telling me I'm a troll, or other toxic things, or telling enemies untrue things to get them to report me, in fact them using all chat to try and sway more reports on to me is one of the reasons I don't want to mute them. I don't spend my time typing while I'm playing. In the games where I witness other players harassing teammates it does not bother me, I feel no need to mute them, I may state in that case that as an outsider they will receive a report. I seem to not have issues with those games, its the ones where others are attacking me personally.

In the same case if the people harassing me are the ones I'm reporting, and if I said nothing wrong to begin with, how is muting making any difference. I still haven't broken any rules, and now I can't see what they are spewing to enemies who willingly will say "ok yeah gonna report him" just to troll the game.

I only report players that are breaking the rules, attacking teammates solves nothing I will agree on that, and that is what they are doing to me. Me having a rebuttal of, if you continue to do this it will only work against you, does not seem punishable. Either way I appreciate the input but you yourself calling me a child is not an effective way to give advice.

Nobody is forcing you to mute a player. If you don't like what they have to say, you should probably use it though.

You don't need to waste your time trying to convince others that you aren't doing whatever it is being claimed. The system punishes you based on your behavior, not what others claim your behavior is. It is designed to throw out false reports like that and not only will they not hurt you, but those people will lose weight in their reports.

However, when you turn around and start being negative or lobbying for reports just like they are, it makes you a problem as well and that's why you get punished for retaliation. Don't play the "he said she said" or "he started it" game, just mute and report them.

Muting is for your own benefit, so you don't have to listen to their garbage. It does not affect your reports against them or theirs against you.

That's a considerable understatement of the lengthy argument going on in the logs provided. All you do by retaliating in such a manner is add fuel to the fire and become another problem. That is why you should just ignore them.

Thanks for your input. After reading this I've realized it's ok for trolls to create new accounts and spam actual toxic messages to others in game, flame, intentional feed, and outright ruin the game experience for others for no reason. I'm still in the in mindset that my behaviour isnt negatively impacting anyone. The People I am responding to are those that have already chosen to cause issues in game. While I do not wish to cause issues, I believe in my freedom of speech and I am allowed to respond back if I wish without retaliation. If the people I'm responding to are already causing negative experience in game for myself and my team, me responding to them and ruining the toxics possible game experience isn't really a problem, as they are the problem. I see now though that the game company doesn't care and will punish the good with the bad. With that being said I'm going to take my time to any superior game company than riot, which at this point seems to be any and all of them but Riot. I mean I guess I'm not surprised a company with 1 stolen game under their belt wold not have their stuff together. I guess Heros of the Storm is the better MOBA out there! Thanks again best wishes to you all. I'm going to go somewhere where my freedom of speech isn't stifled and I can continue to play games in peace.

this sounds like the old arguments I used to have;

I won't say you didn't say anything bad, as I cringed my teeth a bit when I read your logs. Your retaliation against them does create an overall negative environment for the game.

Believe or not, saying "you are muted / reported" puts people on tilt alot more than you think. It's kinda like you covering up your ears and going "nah nah ni nah nah~". while sticking tour totonguout at them. Which just plain annoying to read.

It's much less annoying for you to just walk away from then conversation. In which a mute would do or you ignore them.
