Does Riot even check chat logs before restricting you?

So I just got chat restricted after my last game: Game 1

I defiantly could have handled situation better (kinda embarrassed tbh); I tend to feed the trolls pretty hard whenever I'm not playing ranked and I also don't play this game enough to care at times. That said, I still don't understand how I actually got chat restricted for this? Pretty clear everything I said was a response to a BM comment..... This guy was non stop making mom jokes and shit, I finally end up calling him retarded 20 mins into the game and I get Chat restricted for it? After the game, one of the guys who was also being a dick (who wasn't part of the premade 4) actually added me and apologized LOL. Riot probably didn't dig deep enough to find that though. So does riot actually read this stuff and decide that the person getting flamed and saying a couple bannable thing in response to the xxx bannable things other people say deserve to get punished? I'd totally get it if the system was automatic.

It doesn't matter who started it. It doesn't matter what you were responding to. It only matters what you said. In order for you to understand this, I recommend removing your name from the logs, and then looking at them by themselves. Would those logs be punishable if they were some random person and nobody else said anything that game? If so, then yes, your logs were punishable.

By the way, continually calling people kids, saying they can't read, arguing, and calling them a "fking retard" is certainly punishable.

Yes, they do read it. And it wasn't just for calling him retarded. It was constant toxicity and negativity.

No, they don't give a shit about context. And they never will. They explicitly stated they never will.
