Unfair Permanent Supsension

Tokeish, your League of Legends account has been suspended

Now, before you blindly look at this post and say, "You were toxic, you deserved it." you have to realize that this system does not take premade teams, context, or player reform into account. My only hopes at getting this suspension lifted to get back to playing is the forums, since Riot Lyte hasn't replied in 15+ hours since he has far better things to do then help out some random who got banned for being toxic. (Not sarcasm)

I used to not be very toxic at all, chat restrictions helped me avoid that. If I had a bag game and said a few things, I'd get a chat restriction and cool off and stop typing all together unless it was a "GG" or "GLHF"

Since my first and only 14 day ban, I did my best to improve my behavior. If people were picking on someone, I'd defend the victim and do what I could to stop the flame. If people were flaming at me, I'd just ignore them. If I felt the need to say something rude to someone, I'd just say it to myself instead of typing it to them. I just did what ever I could to avoid being toxic to players and being negative, I even started to warn and report people for being toxic!

But this one game got to me, I was having a bad night due to personal issues, I didn't ignore their Wukong who started provoking me and spamming the chat with simple comments like "No comment" or "L2ward" (I'm aware provocation is not an excuse), and I kept typing. A person in my premade team who I've played multiple games with started saying simple things that just annoyed me more, but with my sense of humor I made some slightly offensive jokes, but I'm sure they knew I was joking since the only report I received was from the other team. I was also in a TS with some of our teammates as mentioned "we're in ts." I also mentioned countless times how it was just a game and I really didn't care, but I still kept typing.

It was a very long game with a lot of typing from everyone, the enemy had the lead for the whole first 40 minutes but we turned it around for the last 10 and won it, I'm not sure if the enemies only reported me because they lost.

I just want this punishment to be lifted and receive a more fair punishment, even another 2 week and a last chance would be better than this. The two people I always play with (Fyfe and iRayer) can vouch for me that my behavior has drastically improved.

  • **It's funny how toxic the forums are. "You got banned, so you deserve it!" How about you read the post in its entirety and listen to morality and reason instead of believing that anyone who gets banned deserves it. Everyone defended Dunkey on his ban because he's "famous," even though he might be outright the most toxic player who has played the game, aside from XJ9. But when a semi-innocent League of Legends player who has spent hundreds of dollars and hours of time gets banned, he's instantly the equivalent of Satan and should be condemned, BUT "he should just make a new account" and bypass his ban. Thank you for nothing, community. I appreciate that single person who actually posted something useful and helpful, though. **

you have to realize that this system does not take premade teams, context, or player reform into account

Those factors are pretty irrelevant. Premade reports have no more weight than 1, the context doesn't matter because you alone are responsible for your actions so you are judged in a "vacuum" separate from what anyone else did, and for player reform if you were already up to a 14 day ban you are expected to change dramatically, not just little by little. When you're on the edge of a permaban little by little is not enough. Certain things like hate speech and death threats have near zero tolerance and will receive escalated punishments.

If people were picking on someone, I'd defend the victim and do what I could to stop the flame

It's commendable that you want to prevent others from being harassed, but more often than not you actually aren't helping. The flamer in question is more likely to redouble his efforts and cause more problems, and you too are probably becoming a problem to the others. Just as you should do yourself, tell the other "victim" to mute the player. Do not tell them to report, because using reports as a threat is harassment and is a punishable offense regardless of what the person was doing. Only 1 report is required to flag that match against the player, so mass reporting has no effect anyway. Let them decide whether to report on their own.

but with my sense of humor I made some slightly offensive jokes, but I'm sure they knew I was joking since the only report I received was from the other team

Don't make assumptions like this. Just because a teammate didn't speak up against you doesn't mean they approved of your behavior. You have no idea whether your team reported you or not; you are not notified of who reported you. If you want to make offensive jokes with a friend, I suggest keeping it to your TeamSpeak channel.

It was a very long game with a lot of typing from everyone, the enemy had the lead for the whole first 40 minutes but we turned it around for the last 10 and won it, I'm not sure if the enemies only reported me because they lost.

False reports won't hurt you. If the enemy spite reports you because you won, you will never get punished for that. Verbal Abuse reports are always checked by the system for accuracy before they count against you.

I am sorry to tell you this, but what others do is irrelevant. This is about you and your behavior. If others were harasshing you, what you should do is report them. Not respond. Only your actions are relevant and there is no excuse.

1- Intentional feeding is against the rules. 2- Extreme toxicity is against the rules (obviously). 3- You have clearly learned nothing.

Justified ban.

I've played with Tokeish, he was actually kind and helped out the new guy on our premade. 1 bad game shouldn't be a perm ban for multiple good weeks behavior imo.

Well, that's the problem isn't it? The best I could get is my two friends I play nearly every game with to vouch for me, which they truthfully did. But they got downvoted into oblivion, just like every comment I make.

http://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=TOKEISH I see 5 games with your friends "FYFE", "YUNG TJ" or "IRAYER" in your last 20 games. So there are more than enough games where you could flame and they wouldn't know it.

But i see 14 games in which you where level 4 or lower. In my opinion that would be enough for a permanent supsension

There is a certain system where it takes time for your reputation to lower. I don't know exact numbers, but I think a certain amount of days/months and then it starts to deteriorate. If your punishment reputation wasn't deteriorated at all, ie it had only been a week or two, then by the system you would deserve the punishment :/

I'm not saying in your specific case that you deserve the ban, but the system is actually pretty fair for the amount of players it analyzes, so eventually chat restrictions increase to temp bans, to perm bans. I'm sorry dude but I think your out of luck. The only ban I've personally witness reverted was a guy who deleted his chat in the files and got flagged for 3rd party, which a riot eventually looked into and cleared it up.
