I feel like Riot Support has let me down.

tl;dr at the bottom. I contacted Riot Support about what I believed to be a wrongly issued LeaverBuster, I am aware that the system is automated but I can't help but feel like I was cheated, I am looking for an outsiders opinion on this.

We started the game, and our Ahri disconnected and our Fiddlesticks didn't have smite so they couldn't jungle. The Ahri also ended up reconnecting and leaving about three times or so, and we weren't given the option to remake. So we decided AS A TEAM (Riven didn't respond kept on playing top) to open and just sit in our base. So Fiddle, Morgana, and me (Caitlyn) recalled and waited in our base for the enemy team to end the game, which they did. The game ended in 10:14 and in the end game screen I was given a delightful message that I have been placed in low priority queue for the next five games. I believe that this suspension was given unfairly and unjust. I am heavily displeased.

Heyo ßishop,

KawaiiViking has arrived.

It looks like I wasn't able to get to your ticket in time to affect your Leaverbuster penalty. I am sorry about that. In the future, you might want to attempt to contact us through our Livechat feature for more time sensitive issues such as this. Also, fair warning, we do not remove Leaverbuster actions very often.

Unfortunately, we cannot do anything about the games you left. We cannot do anything about LP numbers or match histories, as we don't have the tools. The engineers feel like making any changes to those numbers would cause catastrophic failures across several systems, so they refuse us access. This means, if you think there is an issue, you need to come in for assistance ASAP so we may assist you. If your issue is not something that can be fixed, then it is imperative you take a break from matchmade games until it is resolved and stick to custom games! Custom games are not impacted by the Leaverbuster system at all! I know it doesn't feel great, but there are real reasons we have the system act as it does.

Leaverbuster is a very strict system because it is far too easy to fake a D/C and the impacts of a leave affect too many other players in a very negative manner. There is no way on our end to determine who is telling the truth and who is just trolling teams, so we have to err on the side of utmost caution. We don't want to live in a world where people can disconnect from a game with no repercussions. However, it is important to note that the system looks for trends of leaving. This means there is wiggle room within the system! You can leave a game due to a technical issue or emergency every once a while with no repercussions. You can also earn that wiggle room back by playing games to completion without leaving during them! Remember, every game you leave harms the other players, and we do not condone such actions due to the negative impact they have on the community.

If you have any more questions, information, or concerns, please feel free to message me again and I will help you the best I can!

Hey there! While I do appreciate the response; I do want to inform you that I did not leave the game where I received the LeaverBuster, I was in game and talking to my team and the enemy team. I know you guys have chat logs along with timestamps to go with them. Also, at no point during the game did I disconnect, I don't know if this is just one of your automated responses but I feel cheated that I only got a response after I was verbally displeased and said something about it. I am glad that I was informed about the Livechat, and I wish I knew that it existed beforehand. I doubt I would have ever known that the Livechat feature existed if I didn't get this response from you. If it was advertised or was more clear on what options we as the players have to help resolve our issues that would be greatly appreciated.

Sincercly, Bishop

Have a great day

Sorry that you feel like you had to complain to get your ticket seen, but every time you change your ticket, it drops it's position in queue, and takes us longer to get to it. Please refrain from making several small changes to your ticket to help us assist you faster in the future. We are at an especially high ticket volume right now, so it will just take longer in general for initial tickets to get seen. Once an agent has a ticket though, we can respond to it much faster.

The livechat system is in beta, so we don't want to advertise it too much at this point to avoid having a rush of players clog it up. We do turn it off if it gets out of control, and we want to keep it open as much as possible. It runs from 1 - 9 PM pst for now if you need access to it in the future.

The Leaverbuster system doesn't count chat in determining if a player left btw. That way a player cannot just spam chat in the base to avoid penalties and harass teammates. Your situation is interesting, but we cannot condone players simply giving up a game for any reason. You essentially decided that, because you were missing a player, the entire other team doesn't get to play League, and that is not acceptable. When you queue for a game, there is an expectation from both teams that each player in the game will play to their best ability.

Alright, so after reading what you said I have some more questions. You said that; "You essentially decided that, because you were missing a player, the entire other team doesn't get to play League, and that is not acceptable" Aren't surrendering and remaking essentially the same thing? A group of people decided that because something in-game isn't going well that they want the game to end? What you're telling me is that players under no circumstances should surrender or remake a game, because there is an expectation that both teams should play to the best of their ability. That was exactly my situation, and because the system didn't allow us to remake you're trying to tell me that it's my fault we put together a makeshift surrender and negated the enemy team from playing a game. I had full intentions to play that game, however, our team decided that because we had NO jungler, and NO mid laner we would open due to complications in-game and out. I think as players there is an expectation that the systems put in place to allow people to remake and surrender games early due to problems should function properly.

And to continue, even if we didn't open and decided to play out the game, the enemy mid laner essentially wouldn't get to play the game, because they have no lane opponent and just farm, sure they can roam and all that, but they are basically just playing in the practice tool at that point.

Tl:dr: Got leaverbuster for opening the match I was in, couldn't remake for some reason, and told I was wrong for doing so.

Aren't surrendering and remaking essentially the same thing?

No. Both of those end the game immediately, letting your opponents queue up for a new game and get the League game they wanted. AFKing in base with your team locks the enemies in to 10+ minutes of no gameplay.

I can understand the frustration if the remake option wasn't working (did someone on your team get a kill? That locks it out), but this isn't really the way to go about handling the situation, imo.

The leaver buster sucks but it's definitely justified. When you start a game you agree to play it until it is over doesn't matter whether people disconnect or not. Not to mention only 3 of you made the decision which makes things even worse considering there are 5 other players on the team and your top laner who kept playing.

It's the same thing if you were down 0/50 by 5 minutes (exaggeration intended). You don't simply get to stop playing.

So, sounds like the Riven didn't agree to opening and giving up. Which means you and the others did afk in fountain and got hit by the afk warning. Sucks but eh.

Hey I mean, you're not alone. I've been reporting major bugs and inconsistancies, ones that literally break sion and Riot has turned their nose up on me. Been reporting it for the past 5 - 6 patches.
