No one likes having an AFK, but you do understand why it can't ban people over one time right?
There's really no way to tell if someone gets punished by Leaverbuster as the punishments don't actually stop people from playing, it just gives them a longer queue time.
Also, while that person came back, I can guarantee you Leaverbuster still flags that game as a "leave." So, if that player didn't get punished by Leaverbuster for this game, it will certainly count against them for a punishment if they leave future games.
Leaver buster seems to only ever punish players who have some sort of client bug issue and cant connect to a game. It really doesn't catch any one except for that and players who lost power due to lightning or something mid match. It does literally zip about players who intent afk and only hits players who afk on a regular basis if that basis is so ridiculously regular that they should probably just be perma'd.
Riot systems are always like this. Doesn't matter what system you want to talk about. Its inefficient and clunky and poorly designed. When you choose to play this game you also choose to accept that the game is run by a company that is very poorly managed and operated. Thems the breaks.
