banned for toxicity

i got banned for 14 days for saying the following in my last game:

Game 1 AdoreMeSenpai: why are you pinging me? - AdoreMeSenpai: are you stupid - AdoreMeSenpai: have you seen my health - this was to my teammate who pinged me when i was low on health and mana that i didnt help kill someone. most of the time i was talking to the enemy bot lane who constantly said i was trash and that i didnt do anything, it was only my support who got me kills.

it's not like im saying i shouldn't be punished, i do understand that. but it's genuinely weird to me how i get banned for retaliating when they don't even get penalised for starting the whole thing. there was no reason for me to be toxic if they hadn't been. [sg-janna]

Everyone who retaliates gets punished. You don't retaliate, because that's just making the problem WORSE. You just mute, report, and move on.

This alone will get you an immediate 14-day ban. It's a game. Don't tell someone else to end their life over a game.

Chances are that they either did get punished, or got their progress towards a punishment advanced. Your case was immediately escalated, however, due to the language and behavior used. You may have been provoked, but that doesn't excuse telling another player to kill themselves at all.

In short, each player is on their own track in the punishment system, and it's entirely dependent on the frequency and/or severity of their own behavior.

Sometimes you get banned unfairly while guilty players run unpunished, it's the way the game works, so you have to do what that guy said, move on. Hopefully you didnt spend a single peny on that account, because it will get banned permanently.
