I was demoted and lost my promo due to people afk'ing or DC'ing. why do we have to lose the same amount of LP as a regular 5v5 game? It's unfair. Also, those people that forcefully take a champ that's not for their lane , for example, yas ADC or support. It's ranked and these people only play one champ?

Outside the remake option, they must still count it as a loss to prevent abuse. If having a DC part-way through the game resulted in less LP lost people would abuse it.

The same reason you're punished for having feeding teammates. It isn't any different.

You don't get punished when someone else disconnects. That's a very self absorbed view of the world if you think you're being punished. You're more just a victim of circumstance. You happened to be on the guys team who disconnected. They can't just give you a free No LP loss game because of it. Imagine how many people would DC on purpose to prevent LP loss for their friends. Stop acting like the world is against you and you're being punished. It happens to everyone. It's a part of ONLINE gaming. A man made invention that isn't perfect... it's amazing that we can even play games on the Internet together. We should be astonished but no, we are "punished" when people disconnect from the internet. Woe is me.

LP loss prevention for a teammate dcing would be abused to epic proportions that it would take more manpower to monitor and curb the abuse rather than just encouraging people to try again and apologizing for the shitty circumstances you had to endure.

It's an unfortunate unavoidable thing for internet based multiplayer games.
