Team intentionally banning your selected champion

Played a game recently where a teammate banned the champion I had selected. Then he proceeded to say, "I don't like MissFortune shes annoying." If a teammate intentionally bans a champion you've selected (even though there is a prompt), should there be a penalty? I now sometimes it happens but maybe make it a two step process when banning. It's just mostly annoying because after he banned my champion he proceeded to feed the entire game.

There is no penalty for banning any champ you do not wish to play with or against. That is what your one ban is for. Does not sound like she has anything against you, but more so against MF. That's well within his right. You may say it's a dick move and I'll probably agree with you, but that's still well within the rule. If someone is against playing with or against a certain champion, it can be a 10 step process and that champ will still be banned.

There is no penalty, there are multiple champions to choose from, pick another.

Once upon a time, in a magical time called Season 1 (and 2, and 3, and...), there were only a few bans per team, and each team "captain" (the person in the first slot on each team) got to choose all the bans. Not sure if you were playing then, but I was, and it wasn't cool for one person to have all the banning power on the team.

Eventually it was decided, for the better, that everyone should get one ban. Considering where we came from, I enjoy having one ban in draft pick. My ban is for me and me alone, as is yours, and everyone else's. I'm sorry, but sometimes a player just doesn't want to see a certain champion in a game. If you want your pick (nearly guaranteed), there are game modes like blind pick.

It has never been, and never will be punishable to ban any champion for any reason.

All the other comments defending this? The only reason you end up banning a teammate's champion is because you're being toxic/trolling. In the same sense as "pick another champion", that player should learn to play with/against that champion.

Regardless, still mostly done by trolls who didn't get their position or just hate people. It's creating more problems than solutions. I main Bard so of course people ban my champion because he's a "troll pick" and of course I can play other supports equally well. That doesn't excuse toxic behaviour. Gatekeeper's argument is negated by the fact that, our pick is also our choice, why should some dude who wants your role limit that? Our pick being limited by a teammate who doesn't like you makes another player have moderate control over you.

This MF didn't seem toxic, but many people who do this are and love creating problems ASAP.

Don't show your intended pick until after bans. Easiest way to get to play the champion you want.

Lol what an asshole. Fortunately, you ARE allowed to ban whoever you want and that will not change, nor should it. Just play a different champ man. Theres a lot of people who lack courtesy, just get used to ignoring those types.
