My Friend was BANNED by His FRIENDS

My friend (in real life) was playing with some of his real life friends one day. They were all fooling around, and his own friends reported him for trolling as some sort of twisted joke. Well my friend got perma-banned, and that was a long while ago (several months).

At the moment he has a new account where he is climbing out of silver, and I'm pretty certain that his previous account was gold. So if there is no way u can unban his previous account, can u at least transfer the many skins from that account into his new one?

Riot wont transfer anything.

If your friend got perma-banned, even over a "joke" report, then that means your friend was already close to losing their account already.

Also, keep in mind it's an AI system that bans people. While some are handed out from actual Rioters, it's mostly done by a system that is very RARELY wrong and also doesn't understand the difference between joking banter and actual toxicity.

Or you just haven't been reported enough for it, depending on what you're bantering about and if it's with a full group or not.

I've also bantered with people, banter that wasn't at all toxic. But when you're 1 report away from being perma-banned, it wont matter. If the report isn't false then you're getting perma'd.

What they do to determine if you get perma-banned and what to do:

1 - If you're reported, your account is flagged for revision. So either 1) the system will take care of you if A LOT of people report you in such a time span. 2)the actual staff take care of you, checking your chat logs, previous behavior, etc. 2 - As Gakupo said, if he got banned on the FIRST issue of friends "reporting" him, then he was NO WHERE close to NOT being banned. There must have been A LOT more reports done. 3 - Problem: NO STAFF will transfer ANYTHING, unless you are EXCLUSIVELY allowed to for whatever reason. Specially ban issues. Just because someone dished out 300$ for example on skins, doesn't mean Riot has ANY obligation to transfer if you get banned or suspended "joke" or not. It'd be unfair. Others that went to ask and were denied would have to be satisfied. ALL of them. Not happening. 4 - Joking is good, if you VERY explicitly say it. In case of your friends, they can be suspended/banned themselves for abusing of the system. 5 - Someone can't just be unbanned, Riot staff has to review the case, if they do, and check the chances of it happening. Again, having to check previous behavior, reporting stats, etc.

The chat ban system doesn't determine if reports were submitted as a joke or not. People should not abuse the system in anyway, including this way. Email [email protected] but most likely it is a done deal.

your friend was already toxic or a troll if he got perma'd after a few joke reports in one game then he was already temp banned several times previous to that so good riddance.
