I got suspended for telling someone not to call me the n-word

I was playing a league game today and someone used the n-word against me in champ select. They harassed me all game in both pings and chat using the n-word and 'neg' . I told them not to call me or anyone the n-word in chat but I still got suspended because I typed out the word. I didn't say anything else to them all game but I simply told them not to call me the n-word. Is there a way to get my account not suspended?

Why would you type the word out? Hell, why respond to them at that point at all? Just mute them and report them post-game.

It's not worth the energy asking people to not harass you when they're already doing it. Just ignore 'em.

You were likely punished by the automated system, as thousands.. if not millions of others are as well. The automated system is flawed and if you press this matter on the boards, the moderators will refuse to hold the reason accountable. I'm sorry this happened, but you likely won't find any sympathy here. All we can do is make our words known and move on. [sg-soraka]

File a ticket to https://support.riotgames.com and ask them to review the punishment.

Depending on your behavioral history, they may revert the punishment.

That said, don't repeat hate speech of what others said.

one of these posts every day it seems...

people need to learn to ignore completely what the other person said when reflecting on their ban

what did you say? you said a racial slur

game over, you're dumb

You can file a support ticket, but my guess is that if there was any bit of negativity in anything you said that game, it wouldn't lift your suspension. Just be as open and as clear as possible, apologize, and really make sure they understand that you were just repeating it to defend yourself. No intention to flame or harass anyone, you just wanted him to stop flaming you.

You'll never know unless you try, good luck.

The last thing you should do online when you're offended, is tell someone what they should or should not say. That's just ridiculous. You honestly think telling someone not to call you a word, is gonna prevent them from calling you said word?

my smurf was banned for pointing out someone was racist. I filed a ticket with support and they upheld the ban against my account.

I'll keep posting the truth of my experiences on the board until they admit they CAN'T fix their shit report system or WON'T. Either way, the average player is cheated out of too many games by asinine behavior.

That's egregious, and I hope Riot helps you out.

Submit a support ticket. But be warned: frequently, even in cases like this, the support representative responds with a quotation of something that "players found offensive."

To be blunt, this phrase means almost anything--ranging from actually offensive content (such as the 'n'-word), to "omg their team comp... o.o" to "hey guys it's me, degenerate Malphite!".
