How Does the punishment system work?

Ok I thought the punishments went as followed- 10 game chat restriction 25 game chat restriction 14 day suspension Permanent account ban

I have never had a chat restriction or any warnings about behaviour, however the last few games I got very tilted and in the last game I played I said some things I shouldn't have. Due to this I was punished. however I was given a straight 14 day on my first offense. I am not saying that I didn't deserve punishment but for my first offense it was pretty excessive. Is this a mistake or does this happen often.

Some extremely toxic behaviors may result in being escalated multiple tiers. For chat offenses, this is typically the use of hate speech or making threats/telling someone to kill themselves. These behaviors are not tolerated and easily result in skipping tiers. If you were punished by the Instant Feedback System and received chat logs you can share that here for us to review for these types of actions.

If you were punished for gameplay offenses such as intentionally feeding/trolling, those don't get chat restrictions.

Easy: You troll: Nothing happens You feed on purpose: Nothing happens. You call out a Troll or feeder in chat: Permanent Ban.

It really depends on what was said. Riot uses an "intensity times frequency" system. You can be escalated for a lot of toxicity, some really bad toxicity or a combination of the two.

You might want to post your chat logs for us to review.

it used to be 20 games , 30 games 50 games then 75 games then 100 games and then 14 days and then a perm ban . was better with that system in my opinion , i mean getting 100 games chat restriction makes you never wanna talk to the chat again xD i think it was removed on season 5 (i am not so sure..)

I can see the 2nd game is bad

but the 1st one is retaliation for a troll in champ select and then further trolling in game

well Its my fault really.
