When did calling somebody bad become worthy of a ban?

I don't really mind cause it's just a game but when did calling your teamate bad become such a horrible thing to do? I'm sure I said it in some creative ways but I was never overtly vulgar or discriminatory. Looking at my chatlogs, it seems that I was banned for mostly saying the word fuck. Any insights?

It has never been acceptable to harp on, berate, or be rude to your teammates, in any way, in any amount, for any part of the game.

You're telling me that saying fuck is considered taboo?

Around mid season 5 when they switched to the current IFS system.

It's not such a "horrible" thing to do. You don't need to be a horrible person to get punished in this game. You just need to be hostile/confrontational towards your team. It's unnecessary antagonizing. Kills morale, shifts focus from the game into conversing, usually leads to arguments, usually the person you're calling bad is already tilted because they're getting outplayed. It's not horrible, it's just against the summoners code. So I would say, since the invention of the summoners code, is when it became punishment worthy.
