If you had a 14-day ban previously then yes this would be enough to push you over the edge.

In game 1 you wasted a bunch of time arguing with (presumably) your jungler trying to prove that he was bronze and bad. Additionally you repeatedly use "funny" and "sad" when you quite clearly think something else entirely. You shouldn't be making comments on another person's thinking, especially not from the arrogant perspective of thinking they are beneath you.

If a person annoys you or pisses you off then you should mute them and report them after the game, not poke and prod them to antagonize them into saying even more crap. They demonstrated to you that they were incapable of speaking reasonably with you, that's the jumping off point. If you stay and choose to antagonize them for your own entertainment then there are consequences, as you can clearly see now.

in game 1 i mostl talked to my janna who flamed me beyond belief while beeing 0/8 , i was 0/8 too and thats why i found it amusing to talk to her and see her trying to convince me that im "inting"

yes i agree this is bad but i dont see why i get perma banned, i would agree if the yput a 1000 game chat restriction on my account so i cant get into these weird talks with people , i woudnt actually mind this at all. its a flaw in my real life character as well, im very edgy and cynical in gernaral. dont see why i cant play this game tho

Okay, well unfortunately, the system is cumulative. If you get a 10-game chat restriction, your next punishment will usually be a 25 game chat restriction, then a 14-day ban, then a permanent ban. It's cumulative.

There are cases where it can be unfair, but Riot's expectation is that once you receive a 14-day ban, you go back and read the ToS and try to figure out what you did wrong so you don't keep doing things. If you mess up again after that then they take that as a sign that you failed to meet their requirements and are unfit to play. If you can't self-reflect and change your behavior then they don't like that.

Like I said earlier, it's harsh (sometimes maybe too harsh) but that's how it is. Riot makes the rules, we just have to follow them. And most people are okay with the rules as they are.

yesterday i had dessert trooper garen in my sales box bought 10 bucks of rp for the first time in years and bought it, had good winning spree got back to gold 2, was plat since s 3 but stuck in gold his season, took a 3 week break before this and after my 14 day ban . i wanted to stop starting fights over nothing but had a bad day again. now im perma banned. just feels so weird to me, i really tried to not get personal insulting or anything of such sort

I understand that you worked hard, and it sucks to have everything get taken away, but if it has only been a short while since your 14-day ban then Riot expected better from you. It sucks but that's how it is.

You got permabanned because you previously had at least 35-games worth of chat restrictions and a 14-day ban but still chose to behave poorly despite being told that a permaban would come after the 14-day ban if the poor behavior continued. Also, Riot doesn't do permamutes anymore due to many people just switching to other forms of poor behavior, such as intentionally feeding and trolling, things much harder to detect and prove intent for than simple chat-related offenses are.

If you know that someone is trying to bait you into an argument then it's up to you to use the tools available to you to prevent that from happening, such as the mute button. If you choose not to and still decide to get into an argument that results in a punishment for you then that's on you not Riot.

It really breaks down into two categories.

1.) Helping players reform 2.) Shielding others from the behavior, at a cost.

We used to issue chat restrictions that essentially scaled indefinitely.

We were able to determine that after a certain point the penalty no longer helped with reform. The 10-game and 25-game counts for chat restrictions are based on data that they were both light enough, and felt strict enough to encourage people to understand their behavior is unacceptable in game and change it.

We also saw that the players in this 'large restriction' category defaulted to gameplay altering means of harassing their team. It caused an increase in feeding and trolling.

The sample size of this population and time frame is huge. Essentially the time spanning from the introduction of chat restrictions to the introduction of IFS.

So my question for you is, would you rather have more feeders and less negative chat?

If someone isn't gonna behave properly despite being given multiple chances to do so then why shouldn't they be removed from the game?

Also, part of the reason inting and trolling is harder to detect and prove is:

  1. The true offenders are getting smarter about how they avoid detection.
  2. What some people think is inting or trolling isn't actually inting or trolling, thus their reports clog up the system and make it more difficult for it to actually detect the true offenders.

Gameplay related offenses when proven to be on purpose are assigned a 2-week ban as the first punishment. In case you don’t believe me on this point here are some examples of gameplay trolls being banned. Yes it’s just a few examples, but it proves that they do get punished.

Actually you do, you defend yourself by muting them and reporting them after the game. Retaliation is not self-defense. You did not simply say, "that's not true about me," or other similar defensive language, you literally said things about their own thinking, "funny" and "sad" are not self defense, they are arrogant attempts to treat another person like they are inferior to you.

well i actually got stalked from people of other school irl that wanted to hurt me irl when i was in younger, so its not really that easy even irl, if someone is out to get you ignoring their number doesnt really stop them , from my pseronal experierence unfurtonaly, so maybe im biased?

League is not like the real world. Harassment in chat is not an actual threat to you. The only part of you that's under fire at that point is your ego. If you can't keep it in check then you're bound to get into trouble. But that's true in the real world too, so I dunno, either way you really should just not engage with the behavior.

yestwerday won 5 agmes and got honored 3-4 times every game, the last game was when i was hella tired at like 3 am wich is the first game here, its just really not showing my overall atitute towards the game. the system is very weird, back in the days i was on the tribunal and was actually pardoned serval times, because i was always edgy, but i guess nowdays u just cant banter in chat at all anymore, wich also shows me the game has started to go into a direction i dontz agree with.

Listen dude, I was nice about it, it sucks that you got punished, you were trying to improve and you made progress and all of that. But it's already done. It happened. You got banned because you went too far. You can't change it. Learn from it or don't, your choice.

i have been making these claims for over 4 years now and im vocal about it , talking to old ex league players reguarly too. im not the type of guy , just made a post now since i found that after reading the chat log serval times a perma ban doesnt seem logical.

nah im done , played this game since open beta, i wanted to give it one last shot, but id rather shiny hunt for pokemon on my ds and play other games watch streams of league , loosing over 1000 euro worth of investment just doesnt makes me wanna continue playing even on my smurf. whats the point, ill always feel cheated and have bad feelings when i play now.
