Uptick in removal of toxic players

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to thank the Riot team for doing whatever they did to increase the amount of reports that result in punishment. Just reading through this board and the uptick in popups I've received after reporting toxic players recently has been a nice change. I hope that after a few months of this we'll see the community improve and eliminate toxicity for good.

I hope this too but if you check op.gg, there are still vast amount of trolls/inters/ragers that go unpunished for months.

I think, the more we press ourselves to be the change we want to see then that gives other people the opportunity to see the change and respond. Riot already has a system in-place that gives players the opportunity to police their own community.

I think what is happening is more people are having faith that their reports matter. Anyway, I'm with you in that I also hope that it continues so that it can eventually leave a dent on toxicity.

Each person who plays this game needs to realize that they effectively create their experience because they are apart of the community.

I agree that it seems to have got a bit better, but I'm not really saying Riot deserve a pat on the back necessarily. This stuff is much easier to catch, and I just got out of a game where a guy called me the "n" word twice. The Jungler refused to take jungler role and said he was gonna feed...just a all around $h1t show. I think riot needs to give us more feedback as to what happened. They said they were going to, and I've reported over probably 50 people, and I've got back maybe like 4-5 reports saying somebody was punished. They still don't seem to realize how much money they're losing by allowing these toxic people to play. A lot of mature, or normal people stop playing because of this community.

Nothing at all has changed, theres just more people playing Ranked to hit their goals at the end of the Season. Toxicity always increases as the Season is coming to an end.

I guess one thing I'd like to see improved is the intentional feeding / losing on purpose detection. Maybe look at activity during fights/engagements, if a player that's not the JG is in the JG during fights, increase their score. If the player is standing near the fight but not actively damaging or fighting, increase the score. if they're just autoing and not using abilities, increase the score. I'm not sure if things like this are already taken into consideration, but if not they should be.

I'd also like to see some sort of requirement of having spent RP before a player can go to ranked. maybe $5-10 worth of RP purchased. Just so there's a credit card verified on the account. It would be a useful way to keep the smurf/troll accounts out of ranked or at least to a minimum. No gift RP counts either, require from a credit card, on the account, tied to a name.

it's not an uptick in toxic player removal. It's just an uptick in people being baited in by the trolls, int feeders, etc. Even riot admitted( in an earlier board post) that their system is trash at catching inting/passive afking/ stealing someone assn role....etc.

The toxicity has just been moved from verbal....to non verbal.
