It doesn't seem to matter how many people I report, the toxicity just keeps coming.

Every game I report at least two players from each team for breaking the summoner's code regarding toxicity and verbal abuse.

I honestly have not seen an improvement in this community, nor have I seen an increase in sportsmanlike behaviour. For the most part, I'm just disgusted by their actions and behaviour.

Nah man, it's ok, Riot has a PhD in social engineering and statistics or something like that. They are revolutionizing the way we deal with toxic assholes in online games!!!

Sweet Butt5/3/2016, 1:07:06 PM4 votes

They flame you, you flame back. They disrespect you, do it back. Stop whining on forums and show them you can be more toxic than them. Simple as that.

The more you report the less valuable your reports are.

Because lyte and the wisdom of his PhD think banning anyone who rgaes, taking away hextech etc. Will solve the problem.

Meanwhile I can intentionally feed, DC, or lose games on purpose and as long as I don't feed I won't get banned.

Lyte is trying to kill on the mosquitoes in his hoise, but fails to realize he's left the door open. Close the door and no new mosquitos come in. The door here is all the younger factors in this game. Playing 4v5's, 1 person gets to ruin 4 people's games for free because you don't want to accidently punish them if they didn't deserve it. Guess what, they left. Just because I lost my hand in a car accident doesn't mean I can commit crimes with no consequences.

His philosophy is all wrong, he puts 20% of a team over 80%, and then wonders why his methods aren't working

  1. It's a game
  2. Mute them.
HoukagoFapTime5/3/2016, 10:36:47 AM3 votes

Same, i flame in every game and i never get banned.

GRVet3ran0sS5/3/2016, 11:17:58 AM3 votes

If you don't troll you won't get flamed

Vistha Kai5/3/2016, 11:27:25 AM3 votes

Same thing here.

And the best part? Despite reporting those negative individuals, I have yet to get a single message saying, any of them got punished.

I feel like my reports have no weight simply, because people aren't being punished when they should.

I mean, if somebody who goes "you worthless f'gots" on his team and gets away, then what am I suppose to report people for? Obviously "feeding" isn't an option since people can go 0/20 many times in a row and nothing happens.

Renascent5/3/2016, 4:31:36 PM3 votes

Thing is, you can report or ban as many players as you want. They just make new accounts in defiance of their ban, since they are not only toxic, but persistent as well.

I'd like to highlight this thread to riot.

if you look over the course of the seasons. I've asked many old time players in my local community at lans how they think player behaviour has changed over the seasons and they all respond it was good in season 1 and started to deteriorate in season 2. Then I ask these players when the tribunal system was implemented. It was implemented in season 2. This is hard evidence that creating loopholes to be abused via passing off responsibility to riot instead of learning to deal with other humans. It's the very reason you have self-entitled assholes walking around this game constantly judging who should be reported by who gives first blood. it is also the reason I will never be able to take tribunal or chat restrictions seriously. Because there are players who abuse the game and are toxic by PLAYSTYLE. Either they AFK, but ONLY JUST ENOUGH so they don't get caught by the leavebuster. Or they play things like teemo jungle and intentionally feed or simply bait you into fights and dont cast any spells. There are so many ways to be toxic in this environment that have nothing to do with the chat logs. And are any of them caught? No, never, because tribunal relies upon chat logs.

So, what this whole system does is pass off responsibility for winning onto reporting players that you cannot cooperate with. What?

You've created a culture of fear, where players are so afraid of first blood. So nervous and anxious to pass blame onto so one else for a potential loss that they never even start to try to win. You've created your own cancer. Since season 2, this culture has been fostered BY DESIGN.

This should not come as a surprise to anyone with intellect AND social skills.

People flame because

  1. you are bad
  2. you are trolling
  3. You are flaming

Correct these 3 things and nobody will be toxic to you, worked for me.

Chatillon5/3/2016, 1:24:14 PM2 votes

Stay strong and wait

I had one of my reports punish a payer

twas a glorious day indeed

BudgetMessiah5/3/2016, 1:22:37 PM2 votes

So, what you're saying is that Riot should ban 40% of the player base?

SmokedAlmonds5/3/2016, 6:04:29 PM1 votes

If you are really reporting anywhere near 4 people every game then it might be time to start looking at other aspects of this then how toxic the community is. Because that is nearly half of everyone you run into and that is way beyond normal rates of toxicity.

Maybe you are just the unluckiest person in the world, someone is likely to get shit on by the random number generator. More likely though it is some combination of you have an overly broad definition of toxic and/or you are in some way triggering it. I don't necessarily mean you are doing anything wrong, but some people just rub people the wrong way. Figuring out if/what that is would allow you to avoid it to improve your own experience.

PDE5 Inhib5/3/2016, 6:08:14 PM1 votes

It won't get better until they stop going about it the wrong way. But, no1 wants to listen :)

So, keep bitching about the same things lol.

billxx5/3/2016, 6:57:23 PM1 votes

Toxicity is like a block of ice(like several million tons) and we just have to chip away at it.

Meta Phyton5/6/2016, 12:22:17 PM1 votes

Reporting is never going to be useful because the community is too large to be able to be moderated in that way. Hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of players report multiple times every single day, for often very unspecified reasons that only appear to be breaking a rule inside of their head, so it is insane to think that even a small percentage of all of those countless tickets could be read, not to mentioned looked through thoroughly in order to sort out the usually extremely childish dilemma, and then put a punishment into play.

Don't you suppose that it time to try out a different strategy than the one that obviously does not work?

eastcoastblaze5/6/2016, 1:24:00 PM1 votes

Its bevause riot refuses to address the root cause of toxicity.

Its people losing games becsuse of 4v5s and trolls and intentional feeders.

EL HAMSTERO5/7/2016, 3:24:49 PM1 votes

it takes weeks of toxicity to get banned and only minutes to buy a new account

Kei1435/3/2016, 2:27:08 PM1 votes

i've seen an improvement in frequency.

maybe I'm just ignoring them better, or the hextech crafting is making people understand that being toxic sucks.

I used to get that punished notification quite frequently, I don't see that much anymore.

Zaryelle5/10/2016, 1:25:19 AM1 votes

When I first started this game, I thought I was just bad/new cause every game was filled with people raging the entire game.

Then I saw a player carry our team 10/2/20 and the 3 others on our team said to report him and said 'get carried' and all this other shit to him as if he was the worst player in the world.. that's when I realized the average IQ level of the people playing and I just started ignoring it completely.

eastcoastblaze5/3/2016, 5:54:35 PM1 votes

Some of lytes vote manipulation bots in here lmfao.

That or people brainwashed by the riot probably line
