Leaver Buster is Completely Unfair

So my internet drops for about 30 seconds to a minute once every two or three games, this seems to make it completely impossible for me to ever leave the 20 minute Leaverbuster level. I don't get bans for these short leaves but if I ever really afk for just one game I have 5 games where I have to wait 20 minutes before playing. Today I had a power cut and even though I must have completed 30-40 games consecutively over the last couple of weeks without afking it has happened again.

Its got to the ridiculous situation where I may have to start a new account, I already have the best broadband virgin offer in my area of London. I don't see why Riot is just pretending this system works and that all the people being punished are doing something wrong. I must have been on a 60% win rate last 30-40 games, it carried me from b2 to g5.. but apparently in that time I'm spoiling the game for everyone else and committed a "punishable offence".

You are doing something wrong. You know you have a connection issue and you are continuing to queue. 40 games is not a lot to go without leaving.. The punishments are telling you that you need to resolve the issue before you play again. Rage quiters are not the only target of leaver buster.

If you're constantly having connection issues then it is your responsibility to fix them and get them straightened out before you queue up for a game. If you knowingly go into a game while having internet issues then you have every right to be punished because of it. LB is programmed with leniency for emergency and unexpected situations, but it goes down every time you leave/afk. The reason why LB is harsh is because its goal is to discourage people from leaving/afking or playing with internet issues. If you want to test out your internet connection then go into a custom bot game and test it out there. Don't go into a queue if you know that your internet connection is problematic, as you're potentially ruining the experience of up to 9 other players in that game.

From Leaverbuster FAQ:

Q: This sucks, my internet is terrible because [insert provider here] is horrible. Is there a God? This isn't fair. A: You are ruining other people's experience if you are frequently leaving, regardless of the reason you are leaving. Riot games has a policy of not answering theological questions.

So.. lets ask the real question, How many games have you AFKed / Left preevious to this incident.

To get 20 minute LPQ you'll have to have left a significant # of games.

If you don't leave / AFK your games, the system will consider you reformed after a bunch of games and send you a notification saying that your leaver buster penalty has been removed.

But I guess you AFKed / Left enoguh games to work up the system. Now you come complaining cos the glitch triggered the punishment.

Good job for denying everything you've done in the past and blaming Riot. Know that your actions have concequences to them.

Reformat your computer, replace your router, replace your ethernet cable, have your house rewired for cable have the outside line rewired. There is a lot you haven't done and this punishment is deserved.

Whether it's fair to you or not is irrelevant. Youre making 9 other people's game worse when you AFK.
