Why am I punished, but he is not?

This is a piece of shit that I recently played with:

https://ibb.co/igxKjx

The 0/6/0 game is the one he played with me. He harassed me, I harassed him, we both were angry, I was trying to win, he clearly was intentionally feeding. He finished the game with 1k damage done to champions, compared to the enemy ADC who did 16.5k. Obviously, he is not unskilled, as you can see from his first 8/1/2 game. You can clearly see that this game destroying piece of shit went on to completely ruin 3 more games after mine with more intentionally feeding scores of 2/14, 1/5, and 1/7.

I got chat restricted from that game. The chat restriction does not show any other games where I misbehaved, so I am assuming this punishment is from just the ONE GAME. I am not going to bother discussing whether I deserved it or not. Obviously, I was angry and gave him what he deserved. I got punished for it. That's fine.

My problem is that I did not receive any notice saying that another player had been punished from my report. Why is it that I get punished for this one game, but he is allowed to destroy not one, but four games in a row, and still he is not punished? Why is it that Riot loves to protect game destroying trolls, while punishing anyone who dares stand up for themselves, instead of bending over and allowing players like these to ruin games unchallenged?

His language was frankly worse than mine, so why didn't I get the notice that he was punished? Clearly, Riot only likes to punish players who try to win, while protecting those that cause all the toxicity.

The thing is, you don't know whether or not he got away with it. The IFS won't give you that "a player you have reported..." pop-up every single time someone does get punished. Frankly, you're more likely to get Autofilled than to get that message, that's how rare it is.

You should never rely on the Instant Feedback Report to tell you whether or not a player was punished. It's not a message of "Hey, your report went through, x guy got punished!", it's more of a "Here's a small reminder that your reports matter."

As far as you know, the player could've gotten a temporary suspension, or they could've gotten a chat restriction - and there's absolutely no way you could tell if it was the latter.

Once you report someone, that's your end of the deal done. Put them out of your mind, forget about them, and continue on your business. Don't get worked up over "I got punished but they didn't!" - because, again, you don't know.

As Umbral Regent mentioned, you're not always going to get the IFS response that someone was punished. Sure it feels nice when you know that someone was punished for their bad actions/chat, but it's just not how the system is built. Additionally, no one starts out this game as an expert.

Regardless, you got a chat restriction. It's best to put this Jinx behind you, and focus on your actions.

Simple, system judge ppl individually, so unlucky he got away. However unfair it is, it is the rules riot set.
