Toxic duo's (Help and opinions wanted)

Why can people who duo in league get away with being toxic the entire game, doing nothing but tilting you and your allies with non-stop harassment. And because you did not do so hot that game the duo can get away with making it seem as though you were the one flaming and were "inting" because you lost lane. Playing solo there's nothing you can do to defend yourself either without again being called toxic because its 2 against one, and the majority of games your team does nothing to say otherwise and their team is left to decide whether or not to report you. And it leaves the duo without being caught with this behavior because no one is willing to become the next target and potentially get punished for standing up to those who are innocent.

Here's a tip, minimize chat, and don't say anything except a few smart comments (ex. Lol, ____ your so cute, look at your attempts to make it seem like I'm a troller. How about I friend you guys after this game and teach you how to identify real trollers?) . ALSO NEVER ASK FOR REPORTS, it could get you banned, one report is enough to mark a game for investigation so afterwards just report both of them, if it's really getting bad and you feel like you want to tell them to ** **** ****** then just unbind the enter key.

let's dispel a couple of myths / misconceptions you have with how the system works :

  1. 1 report acts tthe same as as 9 reports; it flags the system tto check for toxicity
  2. If no toxicity was found, the report will be classified as a false report and gets thrown out
  3. People don't get punished based on majority vote, they get punished when they hit a certain threshold of severity x consistency.

Knowing those facts; the duo don't get away with their toxicity. Your reports will get accumulated against them. If they were consistently toxic, they will get punished.

There is also no need to defend against their toxicity as if you haven't done anything wrong, then the system will just throw their reports away. In fact, the best way to defend against them is to not be involved at all (mute them).

Btw, because of how 1 report = 9 reports, there actually is no need to ask for reports. Asking for reports actually serve more as a harassment tool and people are punished for it if the say it over many games.

Finally, the system will give you a punishment notification if the game you reported them in is the game that punished them, and not while it is building a case against them. This makes people think others get away with certain things, when they just don't know when someone gets punished.

Riot is aware that the visibility on the system is very poor, and will launch new features after the new client is up and running smoothly.
