Bans

Seriously, the ban system has to be changed. Not how you get banned, and who gets banned, but how long you get banned for. The times that you have to wait if you are banned are outrageous. At first it is 5 minutes, then 10 minutes and goes up by increments of five all the way to 20 minutes. When I first started out playing, and I know this addresses a multitude of people not just me, you don't really understand the banning process that much. You get into a game, then have to leave for something like getting groceries, or making dinner. Then, you come back to your computer, log in, and try to start another game, but you can't right away. Five minute ban on entering que for five games in a row. At first a five minute ban for five games isn't that bad. However, you play off the five minute ban and then leave in a new game, and all of a sudden a 10 minute ban pops up. Now you're getting a little frustrated but nothing you can't handle, so you play off the 10 minute ban. Same thing happens again, you leave in another game and you come back to start a que and a 15 minute ban comes up. This is where you get mad. You have to wait 15 minutes to start a que for five games after leaving only a couple games! Then it gets worse. After centuries of playing off the fifteen minute ban, you get smarter and make sure to schedule your time wisely because you've learned your lesson the hard way. You join a join a match with plenty of time to spare, and SPLAT. You get a bug splat error. You re log in a number of times, only to find your match ended. You try to start another game, but this time the bad is 20 minutes. You get so mad you don't even wait it off. You close your computer and walk away. You may start a smurf account and come back to this one but the reality is, you want a break from all these crappy bans that are sometimes not your fault. I have been playing League for a long time. I've been banned the 20 minute ban about four times now. I have stuck up with all your bans and wait times, only to find myself re-banned because of a bug splat error, or a real life situation. RIOT has to understand that the players have other lives besides League. I'm not suggesting that you remove the ban system, but consider some of these thoughts. Downgrade on how many games you have to play with the ban from five to at least 3. Make them serve the five minute or whatever minute ban two times instead of one, before moving up to a more sever ban. Once you get to the twenty minute ban, let them try to downgrade to the other bans. For example, I wait out the 20 minute ban for all five games. Then I get banned again. This time make the ban only 15 minutes. Then I wait out the 15 minute ban, and the next time I happen to get banned, the time limit goes down to 10 minutes, and so on. But, if someone doesn't wait all five games and leaves in the fourth one or so, then their ban should go back up but fives, capping at 20 minutes. Please consider these thoughts.
