Why are people not getting punished for troll play? I recently had a game in ARURF where a vayne went ap (calling it in champ select) then went 3/10/0 not helping the team at all. I confronted her about it and she said "its URF it doesnt matter, you dont gain anything from it." How is this kind of behavior aloud? Someone says something when being upset about a bad play and they get punished but someone doing a troll build not helping the team gets nothing? ive seen this kind of thing over and over, i guess the automated system doesnt detect troll play just troll chat.

Riot has the record system for replays of games. Attach that to Riot Support. It won't show team chat (I don't remember) so it won't show the messages unless Riot can dig that game file up.

Regardless, just report. Confronting only gets you in trouble as you're then an enabler. Simply mute then report.

Take into account, most Game Modes people don't try to play as if it's Ranked or LCS. Sure you do have those kinds of players but they're meant for fun and enjoyment from Ranked/Draft.

So if they want to try something, let them. If they troll, then report but if they're simply trying something new and just completely do bad. It's probably not their fault (again if it's indeed troll or intentionally feeding then yes, report)

Otherwise, you can't really monitor millions of games with hundreds of employees let alone have an A.I. system detect this person is a troll. Again, Game Modes like URF are intended to be All Random champions so who knows, maybe the person doesn't play the champion as well as the ones they actually do play.

Otherwise just submit a ticket and or start recording your games in Game Modes.

"trying something" does not give them the right to ruin someone else's game. try something with friends or in bot games. if you are queueing into random people to try something you are doing it wrong no matter what mode its in.

What about those that dont have friends? Even in bot games you are with random people and practice tool only does so much.

to be clear the person i am talking about had a plat border, their was no "trying" they were simply trolling. Also, you have to clarify "trying" ap vayne is not trying anything since vayne does not scale with AP which can be seen by just reading the text without playing a whole game.

People have done AP garen and its worked out.

Lichbane, nashors tooth, wits end, boots of lucidity, ludins, and possibly a deathcap.... its not like it would be completely useless. She procs W with just as much speed, Q will proc lich bane, Ludins on E...

Plus she still does max hp true damage.

Its not recommended, but its not like it cant work.

Getting carried by your team doesnt mean it works. handicapping your team so you can try something that most likely will not work is not okay, unless you all agree, its a team game, a single person or even 3 people is not the whole team. That is why you need at least 4 people to surrender a game after 20 mins.

The garen was carrying because they played smart. The ap vayne has a decent chance of doing the same.

Just because you have not seen it, does not mean it can not work.

It is not recommended, but it can work fine.

I know i know, now you are going to go on a trolling rampage and do ap vayne every game and do the same thing in an attempt to prove your point or whatever. I know the drill.

You are just going to add to the people you were just complainimg about because i made a simple reasoning of how it has a chance of working.

Yes, you are already seeming like all those other petty people who do the same exact thing. Heck, that could be why that vayne did it.

Your opinion on this matter is invalid, after talking to you for a bit i understand that you have NO idea what you are talking about. You just troll the forums trying to mislead people. So have fun with that.

And you are the reason that people who have a sense of logic have to hit their heads on a wall trying to figure out how someone can be so set with their head up their own butt.

You want to post your opinion, and you dont want anyone to disagree with you. My whole thing is that there is always two sides to the coin.

If my opinion is invalid, so is yours.

By the way, they said they were going AP vayne in champ select. Those 4 other people on your team chose to continue into the game with them. That, in league terms is a form of agreement. This is to your commentary that you needed the other peoples approval. This is also false, because if you say you are going to troll and afk or whatever, you can still get punished.

My original comment was to try getting in contact with the live support. The rest of my commentary is saying that just because they went AP vayne it does not mean they need punished. If they purposefully went and ran into the enemy team, went out of their way to hard shove a lane and not leave until they died, if they were trolling in chat.... that is stuff that can get you punished.

How you decide to build a champ? Is not as long as you are trying to win and you are trying to work with your team.

And yes, this is coming from someone who was wanting to play AP lucian and had a jinx bott who was building AD items until they saw my AP build and then they sold their items and started buying the same items i was.

I reported them and moved on to my next game. They likely did the same. Yet, here i am, havent a clue what happened to them.

There are many things people can do to ruin someone else's game. For instance and I am sure this is how it went.

[Champion Selection You see he states he wants to "try AP Vayne" in champion select in ARURF. You confusedly question it.

In-game Vayne does poorly, you confronted him. He relies in anger to which you probably backlash him for going AP Vayne and "inting/trolling", he now goes and be a 'troll' since he is declared one. Everyone becomes toxic and flames one another, blah blah blah.

After the game You two argue more and then report one another to which you go onto the forums to unleash your frustration.]

You enabled them to become a negative player and taunted them into being aggressive with chat. You can simply just /mute early on if they look like trouble. Report after the game and be done with it. It ISN'T your last game you will ever play... so therefore you can always play another game afterwards. In theory, you could have ruined that guys' game because you kept bothering him with why he went AP and not AD in ARURF. Or maybe you ruined your team mates' game by arguing with someone who you all plan to report for not being challenger in ARURF. Whatever the case is, anything and everything can 'ruin' your game. Don't be so negative and just play to have fun. If you want something serious, go play Ranked and see if it's different. (It's not so deal with it)

SURE you had one bad game with someone who didn't play like a Challenger like yourself... but not everyone is a Challenger like yourself. So keep in mind you will meet good, bad and ugly players. Deal with it... It's League of Legends not Call of Duty.

Also it sounds like you shouldn't queue solo if you don't want to meet random people who won't play LCS like you. Simply find a group and play with a group... that way you can always count they won't "Troll" and TryHard always... Simple solution, simple problem.

The way I see it, I rather have someone 'try something' in a Featured Game Mode than a real game. Not saying Featured Game Modes aren't "real game" (Yes I get your frustration so no need to then tell me every game is a real game[if this is your mind set, I suggest you take breaks and or find something else to do as it doesn't seem your mental health is well])

It's not making things up, you gave little content therefore I made a story of what you stated.

Also you writing three blank messages makes it that you're annoyed so therefore if he is a "troll" he will surely troll you, given you're showing care. Hence you're feeding the troll...

I merely criticized what you're doing compared to what he's doing.

If you want something positive, do something positive. If you want something negative, do something negative.

So yeah if you don't like being replied by different perspectives then don't post and just hate the game internally. But if you plan to play this game because you enjoy it then enjoy it, don't dread over one person... In the end, that person WINS (regardless if they loss in-game).

If you want, you could try to get in contact with the NA live support and talk to a person. They might be able to look into the game.

first of all there is a large backlog of games that require a manual review for trolling, from what I've read at least 2 weeks, trolls are impossible to ban instantly, unlike chat

2nd, how do you know they weren't/won't be punished?
