Trolls banning the champion you have shown you are going to play.

Riot, is there something you can do about people who ban the champion you have shown you are going to play? This happens to me often when someone is mad in general and want to troll their own team. I do not want to play with someone like that and if I stay and play the game they usually feed and are very negative and grief. So I leave during champ select and get a 5 min ban. Why should we be punished for being trolled and why should we be punished for not wanting to play a game with such a negative person who wants to throw? Is there something you can do to not ban us or something else?

Nope they can not do anything about that, because of the false positives this will greatly bring into the game. Like people who only play the super buffed up broken Meta garbage they do for worlds. Those picks are then banned and then they can report those same people. Or there are just some champions that people hate fighting with and against.

Not everyone who banned an intended pick is a troll. Some people simply do not want to play with or against a certain champ. It is their right to use their one ban for whatever champ they want just like you have your right to your one ban for whoever you want. It does not make them a troll and most certainly does not make every person who did a feeder or a negative person.

Dodging is your personal choice. You do not know if that person will feed or be negative in-game so that's not a valid excuse. Also it is a 5 minute queue cooldown, not a "ban". Providing free dodge would massively increase queue time and you will likely be back here complain why does it take 15 minutes to even be able to get into a game.

Yeah. The one I remember best was a game where I had autofill protection and the other guy wanted my lane.

I didn't want to trade, so he banned my champion. I just shrugged and picked a different champion.

Someone dodged, and when I saw the same joker on my team again, I hovered my second pick on the chance he just hated the first champion. Once again, he banned my hovered champion, and someone else (possibly his duo) banned my first pick from the previous queue.

I was about to tell him he couldn't ban me out of lane (I think I was only about a dozen champions short of the full collection at the time) when someone dodged again and I didn't see him in the next queue.

every1 can ban who he wants to, even the hero you pointed out to play with. I always ban the hero i dont want i my game, ranked or normal draft (yasuo).

This is not a violation of da RULEZ [slayer-jinx-catface]

€: If you wanna avoid this, go play blind pick

How would you as a system determine between the following?

  • I'm tilted and toxic, and I'm banning someone my teammate highlighted.
  • I see last pick wants Yasuo for top lane, but I'm 4th pick mid lane and don't want to lane against a Yasuo, so I'm banning Yasuo to protect myself.

It isn't trolling to ban someone's hover unless they are doing it specifically to troll, which is hard to prove. If I don't like my chances with the current team my team has hovered I can either dodge or ban who I feel is the weakest link in the composition. It isn't to be mean its to increase mine and their chances of winning. BUT WHAT IF THEY ARE ONLY GOOD AT they shouldn't be in ranked in that role if that can only play 1 person. What happens if the enemy team ended up banning it? Then you have the same scenario, so it's a useless defense.

Lol one time we were all laughing in voice chat just fucking with eachother. We all do our bans and carry on as usual... then we notice some guy flipping out in the lobby chat with all caps just raging at my friend because apparently his normal ban was what our teammate wanted to play.

He then goes on to tell us how we are gonna lose because he needs to teach him a lesson for banning his intent pick. Lmao. We all just laughed and were like wow... some people are so fucking petty. Was that you?

Lol just kidding... i know some people do it on purpose and thats who you are specifically talking about, I hope. Because sometimes, you just dont see the intended picks and ban what you always ban. Then someone thinks youre a troll who did it on purpose. Ive had it happen to me too on a seperate occasion.

So no, Riot wont ban people for it. Its impossible to tell if its an honest mistake, or malicious. If they do speak in chat about how theyre intentionally trying to ruin your experience, then yes that is punishable already, report for griefing.

I would like if they punished the trolls who bitch about getting their intended picks banned, though.

Also, yes I have had my intended pick banned before. I picked someone else. It really wasnt an issue. Idk why its an issue with you... do you not own enough champs?

The last time someone did that, and obviously for trolling, i picked their intended pick instead, first arrived, first served you know and i heard Irelia is pretty good top/mid so no biggie. Guy went mad idk why.
