Trolls don't get punished

I 100% think there is a problem with banning only toxic players... That said I have no problem with toxic people being banned, the problem comes in that I get trolls in my games all the time that are griefing hard core. You create this competitive environment for LoL, but the players who compromise the competition never are punished including in ranked. Idk how you can create a system to stop trolls, but there has to be a way and till then I'm simply done playing this game I've been diamond with 70% win rates, so I'm not your average player.... I have been playing since 2010 with no real reason to keep playing but for the joy of playing (never playing with anyone else always a solo player). I have always been passionate about this game, but till change has been made this is my farewell... please make change :(

It depends, what are you qualifying as "troll?" You don't mention inting, so I'm assuming you're looking more at troll picks or weird builds (correct me if I'm wrong here.) IMO, things like weird builds (I.E. black cleaver Poppy) are justified while troll picks (Nami ADC) are not. Could you clarify whether you're looking more at inting, troll picks or weird builds?

So what exactly are you asking for. Riot does ban trolls, but like with toxic players, not only do they have to be reported, they need to actually be trolling. So many people have different definitions on that Term. As well as a lot of people assuming someone is trolling because they arent playing how They want others to play.

Case in point. Just because someone is off meta, doesnt make them a troll. They might lose the game, but it may not be because of their pick. There are so many variables to the outcome of the game. Granted like others have said there is a huge difference between off meta, and people who pick champions that have zero scaling like Zed, Darius, Raven, etc. But again those are obvious. There are certain things Riot cannot catch on the first go. And the last thing Riot wants to do is ban innocent players because they play differently than the norm!

just had a toxic irelia who didnt like a pick and so just followed the adc around the whole game and stole farm, flamed and more annoyingly spams "enjoy ban" to this "troll pick" champ which is ironic bc he inted and literally said "i troll"

norms are all about theory crafting... Feeding will just be natural.

In ranked, I feel the upcoming system will fix a lot... Maybe in that sense, riot wants a more in depth system before they feel ok with banning genuine trolls.

I agree I was just randomly banned
