I feel as though summoners should not be punished by losing rank for dodging a ranked game because they feel the team composition is not up to par. If someone switches their champ last minute to something that makes no sense or is completely troll you are screwed and have to either take a hit or waste the time and lose a game.
See I think that is exactly the reason there should be penalties for dodging. Just because you don't like a pick that someone else chooses doesn't mean it isn't a solid pick. It would be incredibly frustrating for there to be a dodge every time someone didn't like a champion pick on their team or the opponents team, didn't like a ban, etc. Games in ranked would never start because someone would always be dodging because of something like this. And idk about you, but I think queue times are plenty long as is.
I thought that maybe one dodge per day would be acceptable, but someone correctly pointed out that it wouldn't really change much; the chance of getting someone who hadn't used their free dodge that day would still be very high and still lead to a large queue time.
you would be waiting a looooong time between games if people could dodge every time they got counterpicked or didnt like their team comp. would any games ever get played?
