The leaver system

Hi, I use to have terrible internet and some days it would just shut off for hours and this landed me in the lowest of the low que settings. 20 minutes. I haven't left a game in 100+ games but had something come up and had to leave. It automatically gave me the 20 minute que timer again. Does this thing ever reset or should I just make a new account? Everyone has to leave a game once in a while but going straight to 20 minute ques after not leaving for so many seems rediculous.

The timers do go down and can reset to 5 minutes but if I remember right it takes a lot of games played to improve someone's LeaverLevel. They want to make sure that you are being consistent with not leaving or afking games.

They really need to find a way to tell the difference between someone trolling/AFK, and someone that is having connection issues. If my ping is 1000+, and my fps drops below 10 I'm not just gonna sit next to my turret and wait the game out, I'm gonna go restart my router, restart my computer, look for the problem and fix it, I'm not just gonna sit there. When I go into a game I go in because I want to play, if I start having major connection issues I'm gonna go fix it. If I somehow manage to fix the problem I always reconnect to the game as soon as possible and yet, without fail I get these 20 minute penalties for trying my best to get back into the game which I was unable to play under the conditions I was in at the start. The Leaver System is broken, I have nothing more to say.Aatrox

It does go down, but it takes a lot of games. There is actually a pop up now when your status improves with leaverbuster.

Id say around 100 games from each level, but if you for example had multiple 20 minute low priority queues you could be waaaaay in the hole.
